Would you recommend using this on a scar that's about 5 to 6 inches long and half an inch wide on the face?

@@DianaLoya-t7c I would recommend it for any scar, as long as the scar is indented and not a scar that is lifted up from the surface of the rest of the face. Think of Dermaflage as a filler to raise up the bottom of the scar to be on a level plane with the rest of the skin. You may end up using quite a bit of product to fill a scar of that size.

@@Mary-gg9mj Since Dermaflage is like a silicone, it will grab on to makeup too much to wear under it, unless you use a mineral powder as your foundation. In other words, you will see the Dermaflage if you put makeup OVER it. I have a video on my channel where I show how I wear it OVER my makeup.

I have the primer, there are no ingredients on it. But the smell reminds me of SCHELLECK dissolved in alcohol. That's what you use for woodworking. I work a lot with shellac polish, I am almost certain that it is shellac dissolved in alcohol. I also know that shellac leaves exactly this rough surface on the skin. I have also tried it once. The effect is identical. Am I wrong here or am I possibly right?

I honestly never noticed it smelled like anything other than alcohol. Maybe my smeller isn't functioning properly. 🤣🤣🤣 OK....going to smell mine now. BRB.

I’ve been practising with this product for hours now what’s happening is that when I peel off the silicone pad the product is sticking to it. What am I doing wrong?

Oh, you need to clean the silicone pad with hot, soapy water to remove any residue. Then you will be good! It actually builds up on the sponge and you can't see it. Hope this helps ❤

You have only one little scar. What about if I have all over my cheek . I can't use a toothpick but I need to use a spatula to fill in the whole cheek. And I can't do one scar at a time there are too many

I totally understand. Many people who have a lot of scars still use Dermaflage, but you would go through so much product. But, I have seen it done! Not with a spatula, but mark by mark. Have you ever tried the newer treatments for scars? Like medical procedures? Laser, etc? I tried a round of chemical peels and light therapy and it did NOT do anything for my scars. It's tough. I actually have more than just one... but I have to fill one by one. That's just how Dermaflage works best.

@@kath5018 The procedures are SUPER expensive. With Dermaflage, you don't want to put makeup over the top of it because it is a silicone product and will grab on to your foundation and will look like a patch. You will be able to see it on your face. That is why it is best to try your hardest to fill each mark. You can use a mineral powder over it.

I use dermaflage and found that it left a shine with it, but I have since found a product by L’Oreal called 24H matte setter just dab a small amount on once the dermafage has dried and the shine disappears perfect!

I understand! 🤣🤣🤣 Yes, you can use on a COMPLETELY clean face (meaning no lotion, makeup, etc) without their Dermaflage Primer. Dermaflage is at it's best, without makeup. With makeup, it is trickier, but will work. I show in this video how to wear it OVER makeup. It can be under makeup, too.

@@user-mjys8lh8xr2i You don't REALLY want to cover the Dermaflage with makeup. You CAN, but it needs to be so very little. Dermaflage is silicone and it will grab onto the foundation and make the patch noticable.

@@user-mjys8lh8xr2i Yes, just put your makeup on as usual, then, using the Dermaflage Primer, put that in and slightly around the pock marks, then use the Dermaflage, then slightly blend it in with a like, a little mineral powder or just a little patting of a foundation brush, with leftover foundation on it. That's basically what I show in the video.

If anyone has more rolling acne scars like I do, I’ve found that Dermaflage can help a lot. Especially over areas of the face that are scarred but are less “mobile” (such as just under the cheekbones). On larger scarred areas located on very mobile areas of the face I’ve found that dermaflage looks great until I smile…and then it’s quite noticeable because it “wrinkles”. So on these area I focus on using it as she did…placing product into ice pick scars. But a lot of my rolling scars are on less mobile areas of my face , which allows me to use dermaflage over a larger area of skin. I spread a very thin layer of dermaflage to the scarred and non-mobile area using as little product as possible and targeting the worst and most noticeable areas. I put it on top of my makeup but before powdering. Let it dry and then powder using a micro finishing powder (the one I use is by makeup forever). Pat it on and then press it in using a beauty blender.

Dermaflage will never stick to skin that is not 100% clean. So, if you want to do it like I do, you must put your makeup on, then take it off with the Primer liquid from Dermaflage. Put the Dermaflage on, then softly touch up your makeup over the Dermaflage. Or...you can put the Dermaflage on, makeup free, and then sort of work around it. Dermaflage is silicone so it will grab on to makeup really fast, but it also will not adhere to the skin if makeup is already present. It won't adhere to oils or ANYTHING that we normally have in our foundations or concealers.

@@iswaryalakshmi1307 Yes, Dermaflage suggests mineral powder will work OVER the Dermaflage. But like I said, you must put the Dermaflage on completely bare, clean skin, or it will not stick. I use the Dermaflage Primer with or without makeup because it cleanses the area so the Dermaflage will stick. Hope this helps! ❤

Do you mean from an old piercing or something like that? It will work on any indented scars. I've seen people use this to fill their ear lobe plug piercings (I'm not sure what you call them), and it works so well! So yes, ANY indented scar, Dermaflage will fill it in.

I've never had anyone notice it. Rolling scars are a bit tricky, though, versus like....acne pock marks. I HAVE seen a video of someone with box scars and DF worked, but I can't say how it looked IRL. Just speaking for myself, I have worn it and had people up close in full daylight, and I have ASKED them for their opinion, and not one single person ever said they could see it. This was back when I was spending months testing DF.

This product is great but you have to remember that some people are allergic to latex and in that case exposure to latex on the skin can cause a deadly latex allergy.A safer option for anyone out there who is allergic to latex is to mix white glue (white glue dries stretchy and resembles silicone when dry) and cheap dollar store face powder with the white glue to create a safe,latex free version of this product.

Thanks for your information. This is silicone, not latex. Silicone is a safe option for those allergic to latex because they are two completely different materials. However, yes, if someone is allergic to SILICONE, they should not use Dermaflage. The glue idea is interesting but that would not be waterproof, like Dermaflage. But if that glue idea works for you, that's awesome!

Gosh your face isn't as bad as mine. I have ice pick scars all over my face, nose and forehead. Will it work for large areas?

Dermaflage works only in indented scars. So, it would work best to fill your ice pick scars one at a time. Dermaflage basically fills in the "hole" and brings it up to the level of the surrounding skin. If you try it, try picking scars that really bother you and fill them in one by one. It will be a process, for sure, but it WILL work for you. Trust me, I have way more scars than you can see in this video. You can kind of see a couple on my nose. I WISH it worked over large areas, because I'd be using it like that myself! 🤣

Well, I looked at the chart on their website. I checked it 100 times! 🤣 If you live in the US, I think they still do 1 free color exchange for free, meaning, if you choose the wrong color the 1st time, they will exchange it for free. It's best to check dermaflage.com to see their chart (using celebs) and see if they still do free color exchanges.

You CAN, but you must have completely clean skin with no lotion or products on where you plan to over the scars. The primer is suggested for longer wear, a better adherence and for people with oily skin.

I'm curious about this, can you wear this under make up? Or do you put it over make-up? I was diagnosed with a super rare autoimmune disorder that causes scarring all over my face and body out of nowhere, and because your collagen and elastin is COMPLETELY destroyed you can't get laser, you can't do peels, nothing will ever fix the scars, there's no treatment your scarred forever, 😢 it's been tough, some days I don't want to get out of bed anymore

You do not want to apply makeup OVER the Dermaflage, really. Just a small amount of whatever is left over on a stippling brush or something like that. Deris silicone, so it will grab onto a thicker product and the you will see the Dermaflage.

@@NowonBeauty Thanks, I'm going to try two cheap products first and invest just $15 ....if/when those don't work, I'll invest the $45 for this product. Thanks for the demo. I absolutely know I can't get rid of these ice pick scars (after spending hundreds on a chemical peel and laser resurfacing that had absolutely ZERO effect), so I've always waited for a cosmetic product like that. I've tried primers and "pore-filling serums" and none have made any difference. Like I said, just gonna try a couple cheap things real quick and save dermaflage as last resort since it takes a little bit of doing to apply and remove.

I tried the Dermaflage and I think it's probably good for someone who has one or two scars. But to apply it everyday, or even from time to time, for my acne scars that cover most of my cheeks I don't see how it's feasible to use this stuff with any regularity. I wish it was different, like a paste where you could smooth it on. Like on a larger surface or something. But, I do think it's a good product for certain situations.

I completely understand. I have many places I'd LIKE to put it, but only choose the worst on me, which is a few super deep pits. It's not for everyone if you have larger surfaces. Have you tried derma-rolling? I have not, but I've heard it kind of breaks up the scar tissue. And yes, if Dermaflage were like a primer, could you imagine how much easier it would be? I have cheeks and chin covered in acne scars too. I just saw where a Japanese company was supposed to come out with a spray superficial skin in 2019. I'm not sure if it's on the market, don't see it. Also saw a girl say she used to work in fx special effects like Hollywood and said you can make this way cheaper. Thinking about making it myself to cover all my scarred areas

Hey! You get one syringe of your color choice, the silicone pad, a bag of tools to mix the product, and a bag of mixing tips for the applicator, which I DO NOT recommend using these mixing tips because you will waste too much of the product, hence why I squeeze the product out directly from the syringe, and mix myself.

Try cleaning off your pad. If it is sticking to the pad, the pad may have residue on it. Just wash with soap and warm water and try to peel any residue off if you can see it. Perhaps you are pressing too hard. Just slightly push at the beginning and then let it sit for about 30 seconds. Let me know if this helps!

What I do is treat the individual scars within that area. It will take time and patience, but this product must only be placed into the "pits." Try concentrating on the problem scars only, even if it appears you have a large area to cover. ❤
