I agree with this 100% sadly there is definitely a difference from a DW cast member and DL cast member. I always felt that DL cast members gave off the energy of "I just clocked in, I'm here for my paycheck and I'm clocking out" which ultimately that is a "job" but the magic of a cast member is so much more than that! 😢

I haven’t been to WDW since I was a child but a was an AP holder at Disneyland and still go frequently, and it wasn’t always this way. Things have changed SO much since before covid. I think there’s multiple factors contributing to this including social media(which has brought even more guests =crowds), changes to the park, burn out, prices. It used to be so magical. My son has allergies and they used to be so knowledgeable and accommodating, but even the training is lacking. If we are noticing it on our end, I imagine the experience has changed for cast members as well.

@@britneyleigh1691I mean, to be fair, this is CA and they are being paid minimum wage. I miss the magic as well, but they aren’t even paid enough to live here. I would do the bare minimum as well.

Just came back and they weren’t unkind, but noticeably less upbeat compared to WDW cast members. There are upsides and downsides to that, but I enjoyed the casualness of DL once I adjusted my expectations! The DCA CMs in Avengers Campus were so stellar, I didn’t wanna leave.
