I was at Elizabeth quay yesterday, hooked onto this monster flatty, at the start I thought I was snagged because my rod just bent so far when I was reeling it it and I just saw the head but it broke my line and took my daiwa double clutch with him

yeah Man, with your other video when you used a 1/16 jighead and a 1 inch grub how were you able to cast so far out? I can only cast a few meters
@TonysFishingAdventures8 күн бұрын
@MartytheGOD just need realy light gear to cast lightly weighted plastics, I'm using a 1-4kg fast action rod and a 1000 size real with 6lb braid/leader, the rod helps alot my 712lfs is designed to cast 1/20-1/12 weighted plastics specifically and hardbodys upto 75mm

@connorbrown3498 ow nice bro, the big girls are definitely out and about! Yea I was thinking about using a 2.5 minnow too but the jigheads i was using are slightly too big for the baitjunkie minnows so opted for the CrushCity Creeper. @TonysFishingAdventures13 күн бұрын
@gazzafishes i like 5-10g metal/soft vibes there mate there is a channel for boats where the drop off is and that weight let's u get out to it easily and then fish from the drop off back. High tide they hang around the drop off and low tide they are almost up on the rocks, try fish around the drains and in the middle section between from bridge down to platform there is a underwater bombie that has heaps of structure check out the nautical maps it's a pretty good strip to walk up and down casting i caught bream, flatties and tailor there.

Hey I was wondering why everyone uses 6 pound braid for swan like what are the benefits or should I go heavier
@TonysFishingAdventures14 күн бұрын
@@Wallahhabibi-wk4fw I'm using a 1-4kg fast action rod with 1000 size reel so it enables you to cast further, feel more on the rod, better action on the lure and yea its smaller less spooky you could go higher but for your ultra light setups 6lb is just right not so scary as using 4lb and 8lb is just overkill, on a 3-6kg rod i use 10lb braid.
