Wow, you bought huge memories flashing back. Disappointing you caught only one fish. My dad was an engineer from about 1950 to about '78 and was involved in building that great bridge. I am 76 now. I fished that stretch of river from the time I could walk. We lived in Angelo st. I caught every thing from sharks, (bulls, whip, whalers and even a big hammerhead) often big unknowns. When I was a kid we only used 200lb sashcord handlines. The Mulloway we called Kings and they grew huge and fed family and neighbors. Used anything live for bait, the bigger the better but the little Perth herring always worked. They stuffed the river big time with the rubbish tips that ran into the river. There was one at coode st, one on Harrison island and one where the casino is now. Lots more too I just forget. Fishing down there at night was great, the river was full of Italian net fishers all sculling their wooden boats, singing their heads off.... I left WA more than 30 years ago, I still remember the times on the Mighty Swan. Cheers.........

@johnsavage1109 that's awesome mate, would love to be having a fish back then that's for sure not like nowadays, my pop used to tell me story's about fishing in the Canning River pretty similar to yours just wild how it's nothing like it used to be nowadays.

I started fishing every day since Monday. I’d say it’s a skill issue for me with soft plastics-after losing many baitjunkies, I figured maybe there were no fish near the bridge, so I gave up and switched to coral prawns as bait. Finally caught my first bream! stoked!

@hafiyharizan1607 nice one bro, yea I also suck with softplastics haha went out for 2 hours lastnight hunting flatties at optus stadium using 3" rapala imposters and not a single bite :/

great vid mate I almost went out today but the wind and rain was mental, I appreciate you saying about how many times you have been down there and lost a lure or had a donut day I'm yet to catch anything at narrows and I have lost a few lures myself but I'm gonna keep trying my day is coming I'm sure of it lol :P

@MafiaMiniMan that's it mate just gotto keep at it, I find an outgoing tide first thing in the morning heaps better but lately it's just been me yelling at the water lol. Last sunday I was at Herrison Island for a good 2 hours and not a single touch up, when I get time I'm going to walk that entire rockwall down to the PWC boat ramp and explore some as iv never realy tried to fish that far down there seems to be some drains along there so might be holding flatties.

@@TonysFishingAdventures I have thought the same thing myself I've just been waiting for the weather to be a little better lol
