That's cool, but honestly, you'll never really grow if you don’t face reality. Facing reality means taking a hard look at yourself and recognizing what level you're actually playing at. If you're inspired by directors at the top, it'll only lead to frustration because you don't have their resources - you don’t have their reputation, their team, or a production company backing you. You don’t have the same access to knowledge they do, either. So, it's usually better to look up to people who are on your level or maybe a bit ahead of you, rather than those who are already at the very top.
