Mike, I can't read notation and learnt to play long before TAB emerged, and I can't read that either. A dinosaur.

Happy New Year Mike, thank you so much for doing this series of lessons, I am learning so much. It’s fascinating how much SRV is doing with so few notes, and the timing of the phrases blows my mind 😂

Thanks for all your lessons Mike, Stevie had it all when it came to playing the blues, whether that be a slow blues or fast , major or minor.

Thanks for the lesson. It's my favorite solo of all time and a terrible one to relearn on thick strings after years of inconsistent rhythm playing lol.

Morning Mike and happy new year! Here’s one for you! E.C. and Buddy Guy at Ronny Scots “Worried Life Blues” This is my favourite version of this song. It’s got a rawness to it. I can (sorta) get it down but there’s a few areas I get hung up on! Anyhoo, great video once again 👍🇦🇺

These are great man. It's so cool you take the time to make these lessons. I am 50 and started playing as a kid but stopped playing lead for a very long time. Luckily I soaked in some of the nuance aspects of playing that are tricky to teach/learn. I have spent the last few years going back and trying to get very skilled in some of the players that I liked as a kid but gave up before i got too far (SRV, Clapton, and Slash). Man if I would have had youtube as a teen it would have made life easier! All i had was the music and maybe one or two VHS hotlicks videos ha. I have spent a lot of time the last year trying to learn how to do legato like slash, but i also keep coming back to work on these blues licks and feel. You've got it man

Love your lessons and content. Really easy to follow, plus you look a lot like Les Battersby from the golden days of coronation street but don’t let that slow you down.

Just did the Rory Gallagher lesson. 1) One of my top to listen to, and try to play, so creative. 2) Amazing to see this scale in the hands of so many who have expressed their style and feel into such different voicings.
