Wow and Wow. Been putting off that third part for years. And the insights on the 1st two parts. Eric gets better as I get older.

I think the best guitar solo is Old Love from the original 24 Nights. But he has quite a few solos to choose from. Great video as always 👍

Great idea of doing it an octave lower for lesson purposes. Awesome job. Sounded great. I don't know if you did a lesson on it. But, Clapton's licks on Key to the Highway on the Layla album are great key of A licks too. ( talking about just the straight guitar. Not Duane Allman slide. Though great also). Another great key of A lick lesson would be N.S.U. .Not from Fresh Cream or Live Cream. The one fron the Cream Re-union at Royal Albert Hall. Clapton hits some licks in that version that are reminiscent of the " Woman Tone" he was getting on Disraeli Gears. Even though N.S.U was on Fresh Cream. Clapton's signature strat at the Royal Albert Hall version sounded almost like his psychedelic painted S.G. " The Fool". Peace.

The hardest part is that vibrato when bending up. I love been playing for decades and I still can’t do it.
@Kamerplant340Ай бұрын
Thanks for the lesson, Mike! Your vibrato is so consistent, it sounds great. Have you ever spent time just practicing vibrato or is it something that improved naturally as your playing improved too?

Yes I watch Clapton SRV etc & mimicked them for hours when first started playing.. such a big part of playing in this style

Great video as always! Would you ever consider hitting his work with Delaney and Bonnie (especially the live material) they did a killer version of crossroads at the Fillmore in 1970 along with the live album they released in the UK
