Raging blast was really good

the reason it was named ultimate tenkaichi is because the creators of the game did a poll with a bunch of names for the new game and decided to let the fans pick the name, they didn't show any content from the game and most fans picked ultimate tenkaichi for the new name. In the end, we thought it would be like tenkaichi cause of the name choice but we were far from it lol

Omega Shenron in Ultimate Tenkaichi's Hero Mode traumatized me, man.

Id say the latter ps3 dbz games were the begining of the end. Battle of z and ultimate tenkaichi were bad, xenoverse was bad, kakarot was bad, and sparking zero dont hit the same as the og tenkaichi games.

If raging blast 2 had the graphics and story mode of RB1 it would be the perfect game

They were always bad. Burst limit was the obvious exception as it used budokai as a basis. But the rest don’t need childhood to be justified. There’s nothing wrong with growing up with bad games. I see no need to seek vindication with every single game we grew up with. I still like most of these games but that doesn’t mean I won’t acknowledge their flaws. Good video.

The Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Tenkaichi is not that good and not that bad it's still the best in opening best in surrounding destruction the best ultimate blast cinematics best graphics the only downside is the battle style animation and character roster unlike the Dragon Ball Z Battle of Z The Worst than Dragon Ball Z Taiketsu and Dragon Ball Sagas

My dad’s collection of PS2 and (mainly) the PS3 games were what got me into the franchise to begin with

Characters were not the point of Raging Blast 1\2 60fps and Balanced Online play was, tho NAMCO never allowed them to patch the charge infs out for RB1, and BT3 players caused issues with RB2, before launch on the forums and the devs rushed untested changes, resulting in Custom system that made many competitive Raging Blast players stick with RB1. Still BOTH Raging Blast 1 and 2 are so much better an online experience then SPARKING ZERO is, nor did either of them just toss out mechanics that weren't convenient and took time to balance eg like the charge cancels mentioned above, SPARKING ZERO just plain removed them, and their a core element of the entire BT series. They are the True BT4\5. Know how you escape After image in Raging blast 1\2? You just do a x5 rush into a sidestep cancel or spam smash 3 which won't trigger AI\WS\AIS. Both games were also smart enough to tell you when you were doing combos correctly too, with flashes something SZ doesn't do. Sparking Zero also doesn't do terrain destruction, RB1 when played offline the grasslands map, and the kai map are fully destructible in the vien of RED FACTION, by completing a rush vanish combo and smashing the opponet into the ground you can effectively dig infinite size holes. You didn't mention these things as you likely did not know about them, the custom system in Raging Blast 1 is also the most indepth custom system of any BT game, allowing the most flexible builds out off all the BT games.

burst limit is not a spiritual successor to budokai, it's just a successor, it was made by the same dev team, so it's just a successor. a spiritual successor is made by someone else who were typically fans of the old game that they wanted to revive, like taxi chaos is a crazy taxi spiritual successor or road redemption is a spiritual successor to road rash

I remember that time I Got Raging blast,I was mesmerized by how the game looked especially after I Played Budokai Tenkaichi 3 a lot, These two games literally made my childhood.

You know something that I've noticed not a lot of people touch on in Raging Blast 2 or 1 is that when you have certain Characters on your team, they have Team attacks that you can trigger when certain conditions are met like if you play a team with Goku and Krillin if Goku dies a prompt will appear on the screen and you can do the fusion Spirit Bomb against the CPU or person you're fighting then for added cool points if Kid Gohan is on the team and you miss the spirit bomb he'll send it right back at the enemy to make sure it hits. It may be not really important, but I feel like it should be talked about more it shows that the developers really did try by adding in easter eggs like that.

I'll always stand by Raging Blast 1 and 2. First game did the traditional story mode well and was a big fan of the mechanics and features.

I remember when I was 8 i got into dragon ball z kai when it released in 2009. I remember watching it on nicktoons. However I could hardly find any dragon ball toys when I was a kid because they wernt making a whole lot of dragon ball toys in the year 2009. However as time went on they made more merch and I thought that was really cool. Especially the figuart toys.
