This should work at every park, globally! As for magic bands, I don't think they ship them internationally, but you can pick them up at the park when you visit.

I thought so at first as well! There is a setting called "afib history alerts" that should be turned on. This monitors any irregularities even when not in the ECG app. I highly recommend making sure this setting is turned on!

Appreciate the kind words! There's nothing that I can speak of related to Subaru as a whole - the lag itself comes from the wireless connection. It's totally fine for overall navigation, podcasts, music streaming. Separate from the tech, my first car was a VW and I have absolutely loved the switch to Subie. I feel like I'm driving a tank through all sorts of weather.

Thank you! I do recommend it, it's a great little charger. That's a great point of clarification - you do not need the one that it specifically came with, but it needs to be at least 40W to have the marketed fast charging speeds. It does work with smaller power adapters, but the speed is throttled.

@@ConstantineKnowsTech thanks for the reply, when i’m travelling I would rather take a smaller fold away plug that also has USB C so it’s good to know I can use this instead (I’m in the UK so our 3 pin plugs are larger than the USA type). I’m not too bothered about the fast charge as it will be almost always used for over night charging. 👍

Technically it's the same speed, both charge at 15W for the phone and 5W for the apple watch charger. That being said, I think the Anker takes the lead in charge speed because it comes with a 40W power adapter while the Belkin is 30W. The Anker also has a lot of ventilation that helps as you fast charge multiple devices. The good news is that whether your device is made for MagSage (Belkin) or Qi2 Certified (Anker), your device can fast charge safely.

I tried it with another 40W charger and it worked just fine, but then again with a standard one. It still works, but I think it reverts to standard 5W speeds. So it kind of mitigates the benefits of Qi2 fast wireless charging but the device is still functional.

I know it's not perfect and still not as efficient as wireless charging, but with the advent of the Qi2 standard it's gotten a lot better! Hopefully it gets even better from here.

Short version - without the update, I wasted a lot of time trying to make it work. Worse yet, trying to update after all that was problematic with getting stuck at 1 percent, later 57 percent, then back to 3 percent (separate attempts) and so on. Finally had to wipe some settings off my phone and then the update went very well. In fact, after the update, the results were vrey instant and no issues with a few times entering the car. I only suggest the company make an app for phone or computer to accept the update download and then transfer over to the device. If this last try did not work I was ready to send it back for a refund. Right now, I really enjoy it and it works wonderfully.

I think that Tesla and Rivian are by far the best in automaker provided infotainment, without a doubt. I still think that CarPlay/Android Auto offers a lot of use and uniformity that benefits consumers.

I'm currently on iOS 17.3 - when I set up CarlinKit I was on 17.2.1. It seems to be working just fine, if not better on 17.3. @@Solarium- That's a steal at that price, nice job! I highly recommend following the above link for update instructions. I've seen a significant improvement in connection time, GPS accuracy, and any lag.

thnx alot on the video and the review i've the same Subi's headunit like u - it has a built in GPS if u used it through carlinkit instead of the phone's GPS does it improve ur phone battery life? - i wonder if u have any quality call issue through the mic? hope 2 see along time review , as i might receive my unit on april

I'm happy to share some additional thoughts! I've been using this device ever since I unboxed it. Overall, I still love it and would recommend it. - I typically don't use the built in Subaru navigation since I've gotten spoiled with real time traffic data from google/apple maps. - Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto does take a significant toll on your battery. It is great for short drives, but if I am on a longer drive I will still plug in my device - I have seen no issues with mic quality whatsoever. Calls, navigation guidance, and music all come through just fine - There is a slight lag time when changing songs. It is maybe 1/2 second longer than when using a wire. It is not big enough of a nuisance to not use it in my opinion. If you play a video though (safely of course), there is a significant delay between the video being shown and audio broadcasted I hope this helps!

You can link any credit card to your Disney app. Once you add your magic mobile card to your Apple Watch you can pay for things directly with that! I didn’t take my physical credit card out once the last time I was there.
