Great video, considering purchasing this. One question, can I just check your comment towards the end, about “you have to use the power adapter that came with it” do you mean it won’t work with another adapter or it won’t fast charge with another adapter?

Thank you! I do recommend it, it's a great little charger. That's a great point of clarification - you do not need the one that it specifically came with, but it needs to be at least 40W to have the marketed fast charging speeds. It does work with smaller power adapters, but the speed is throttled.

@@ConstantineKnowsTech thanks for the reply, when i’m travelling I would rather take a smaller fold away plug that also has USB C so it’s good to know I can use this instead (I’m in the UK so our 3 pin plugs are larger than the USA type). I’m not too bothered about the fast charge as it will be almost always used for over night charging. 👍

Which charges faster to full, anker or the belkin?

Technically it's the same speed, both charge at 15W for the phone and 5W for the apple watch charger. That being said, I think the Anker takes the lead in charge speed because it comes with a 40W power adapter while the Belkin is 30W. The Anker also has a lot of ventilation that helps as you fast charge multiple devices. The good news is that whether your device is made for MagSage (Belkin) or Qi2 Certified (Anker), your device can fast charge safely.

I bought it the week it came out and have the same thoughts on the device. I have it plugged into a separate 3 port anker charger and have nitro had any problems. What exactly happened? Are you using a port that delivers less than 30 watts? 10:22

I tried it with another 40W charger and it worked just fine, but then again with a standard one. It still works, but I think it reverts to standard 5W speeds. So it kind of mitigates the benefits of Qi2 fast wireless charging but the device is still functional.

I know it's not perfect and still not as efficient as wireless charging, but with the advent of the Qi2 standard it's gotten a lot better! Hopefully it gets even better from here.
