My granddaughter just had twins. I think Racheal was born second with Jessica born first. They are only 4 months old but each day they look more alike even they are fraternal. Crosby was born first and much leaner than Vance who was born second. Happy birthday girls.

The seaway pullover is PERFECT for that dark brown yarn! This was one of my first favorites on Ravelry when I started knitting and love the idea of doing it in a darker color ♥

Quilting fabric is a simple process just take a 12x12 sample of fabrics and practice. There are quite a few tutorials to help you. I had no idea how to make quilted fabric and learned from KZbin. Good luck with you adventure

Hello! For your Stockho;m sweater....how about grafting? you could cut just above the bottom rib section and then pick up the stitches from either end sections, knit the body section to your desired length and then graft the ribs section back to the body.

The curtain bangs suit you so much, Jessica! I absolutely love both of your cardigans, although I’m desperate to knit the one Rachel is wearing, but maybe in a less exciting colour than red! I also love the look of the bookclub cardigan with the dungarees! Are they the Levi ones?

For what it’s worth, I’ve knit sweaters with coast to coast yarn and haven’t ever had to alternate skeins. I also knit a sweater with Moondrake yarn in a solid color and didn’t have to alternate. Also that alpaca sport is dreamy. I was squishing it in store Sunday and it’s SO SOFT.

That’s good to know about the alternating skeins! Hopefully the button colorway is the same! 🤞🏼

I am jUst finIshing up on ChriStmas gift knitting, Sask. Roughrider socks, Vancouver Canucks socks with yarn from Polkadot Creek. Dryer balls (a request) and some fingerless mitts. Then I will be back to finishing off the Autumn League sweater that was supposed to be a fall Knit. My plans are to have 1 sweatee, 1 pair of socks (cuff club), 1 charity knit for out health care Auxiliary and one Christmas knit for Christmas 2025 on the needles each month in 2025. I also have 3 sweaters I never wear and want to reclaim the yarn.

I’ve been working on a Billie pullover since October for my fiancé! It’s gone very slowly because he’s super tall and I had to make a lot of pattern adjustments to the yoke in addition to adding loads of length to the body. It’ll be worth it when it’s done, but I doubt he’ll actually receive it for Christmas at this point 😂

For the quilting pattern you have in mind, it's not very difficult to make your own quilt for this jacket! Just buy your fabrics and put polyfill in it for a more light jacket. The polyfill is a polyester fabric that is sold by the meter/yard and that can be put in coat for insulation.

Lots of plans! I'm such a monogamous knitter... but i actually have 2 things going right now. One is the port jacket in Wool of the Andes by knit picks in the color dove heather that I'm holding with a Madeline tosh silk cloud (the old shibui which I love, in a silvery base with dark navy and reddish pops that is giving such beautiful depth to the kind of boring Grey. This is my first drop shoulder so out of my comfort zone but I'm enjoying it. And the other is a musselbrough hat out of 2 colors of magpie fibers swanky sock that I'm color blocking. So far they are both getting attention and it's making me want to cast on a Sophie scarf also. Who am I?

Thank you for another great episode. I’m working on my own colour work sweater design, using browns and yellows. I might have to make myself a brown dress to go with it. I spent ages trying to find one online that I liked without success. Time to dust off the sewing machine I think! 😁

I am working on a pair of gift fingerless mitts which will get rid of a partial skein in my stash, yay! After that, I can’t decide what to cast on next but I have a sweater’s quantity of hand dyed yarn I splurged on from Ruby and Roses that I am both excited and scared to cast on a project. It will be a short sleeved sweater but I haven’t completely settled on a pattern yet. And then I have a ton of fabric that I bought for specific projects but I haven’t been able to make any of them yet! It’s hard finding time with young children. I love both your guys’ sweaters by the way! 😊

Years ago I self drafted skating costumes and bridal and bridesmaid gowns (seamstress) and I always used a cheap muslin material and once I have what I want I take the Muslim apart and use it as a pattern remembering to allow for seam allowances. You can definitely can do it. You go girl !!!

I really felt inspired and kindred spirits with this episode. I ordered some darling subtly leopard print corduroy that I impulse bought with no plans. I have children your age but I feel that maybe a jumper may work for me. I like the idea better than pants. I am trying to clean out my stash, too. So I just finished the Garden Cardigan and I have La Bien Aimee yarn that is 4-5 years waiting to cast on the Magnolia Chunky Cardigan. I started the Riptide Slipover with newly purchased yarn and Sheep Camp Sweater from stash last month. I always have a ridiculous amount of whips going. Thanks for sharing your making. I enjoy your episodes every time. Also, I live in Burlington, KS.

I too want to decrease my yarn collection and I hope to make the Turtle Dove shawl, the coming together shawl, and the Clint Shawl this December and January. I would love to cast on a zipper cable sweater or a cable cardigan ( possibly the Braidy loop).

Your knitting math is accurate: You also need to price in all the fun and pride after finishing and wool by KfO is ethically sourced. The store sweater probably doesn’t have all the additional value.
