I love how you phrased your opening to this video as you both are in a season where you can knit a lot. I remember not having as much crafting time when my son was small. Now that he's a teen I have a lot more time for myself which I love. I wish that I could go back and tell myself that it's ok to take a little MORE time when he was small. I started out mostly quilting when he was young which was not as portable obviously. Now I knit everywhere I have to take him (sports practices, games, etc.). I hope you both have a wonderful 2024! Looking forward to more of your videos. I'm an OG viewer but I loved seeing the items you knit before you started your podcast.

Thank you so much for watching and sharing your experience! We’re very grateful to be in seasons of our lives where we can dedicate to knitting, but the beauty of it is that even when we aren’t it’ll still be there and part of our lives. ☺️ Glad to hear you are in a place where you can also dedicate more time to it! Wishing you and your family a happy New Year!

I knit a Gro hat last year as a Christmas gift for my mother out of Cascade 220. It turned out WAY too small too. I gifted it to a 6 yo and it was absolutely perfect! I tend to think that the hat's pattern is on the smaller size. I remember reading other projects notes who said that the hat turned out too small for them as well. I knit a different hat for my mother (the Llariega) which is actually more her style (out of Brooklyn Tweed Arbor) and which she loves. I knit a Sophie scarf with the left over yarn and it made a lovely set. Congratulations on so many beautiful knit pieces! I've been watching your podcast for a while now and it's my first time leaving a comment. I'm looking forward to seeing what you will knit in 2024! Happy new year from France!

I’m glad I’m not the only one who found the Gro hat was small! I hope the six year old enjoys it as the motif around the hat is beautiful! Thank you for the kind words ☺️ have a wonderful New Year as well!

You two are fantastic. I really enjoy your videos and what you choose to knit. I even love the color choices! It’s great to listen to you two compliment each other and just banter back and forth. I really appreciate your videos. Will you ever do a Q&A? I’d love to know who taught you to knit, how long you’ve been knitting, if you’re close enough to help each other with harder knits (not like you two ever take on anything easy!)…. Thanks again!

Loved seeing all the accessories you made. Rachel, i just started the Manhattan Hat by Tori Yu and it looks almost the same as the Stockholm Hat. I am uncertain that i can carry off that peak on the top of the hat but I am willing to give it a go. It looks great on you and i think it would suit my 18 year old daughter if i decide it is just too much of a statement look for me. I am inspired to make the Breeze Bag as well. Your versions are really stylish. We live near the beach and i think it would make a great gift knit for my daughter. Looking forward to your garment video. Thanks for sharing. :)

I have plans to knit the grow hat! Also, my favorite socks I knit this year were probably the oolong socks by Aimee sher makes! I also test knit the nest socks by songbird handmade (the fingering weight version) and I would love to knit another pair in a DK. Can’t wait to see your garments version! I have a lot of coast to coast yarn too 😅 I’m excited for her store to open!
