This introductory overview is, indeed "very brief," which is why some composers and details are absent. It was prepared as a class project with a five-minute limit.

These are Hungarian instruments and Hungarian music, not Gypsy or Roma, after WW1 many Hungarian musicians had to go fight, whilst the Gypsies replaced them while they were of defending the Kingdom, this is well documented, after the war Hungarians had to work and rebuild so the gypsies became the main recruitment for music in the villages and cities, for weddings and events.

@@hotpaprika67so the language that the Roma speaks is the mother language of all Hindu languages oldest Sanskrit language that is more than 4000 years old .. they found many North Indians with the Aryan warriors who were Persians in China they found ancient instruments that the Roma play cimbalom violin etc etc they were servants of Aryan warriors .. centuries latter 10th century Roma were the warriors soldiers of the great rayput king it was the ghaznavid empire sultan mehmmod who conquered north India and than destroyed all of their lands burn 🔥 down everything and took the Roma Doma Sinti Kale = gypsies with them to Persia Egypt Morocco as slaves servants to Middle East .. Roma were never one group of people but many tribes of warriors steal workers dancers musicians it was the great rayput king who started to organize all of North Indian tribes to fight the ghaznavi’s he also brought soldiers from Persia south India Pakistan Afghanistan and when they lost they were bunched together as one group and taken out of India as slaves servants .. you can fact check everything that I wrote I didn’t made this up it’s our history it’s been documented .. before Europe we lived in Middle East for 500 years and than the ottomans brought my people to turkey Armenia Syria and parts of Europe as their slaves for the military.. Roma were steal workers dancers musician’s soldiers as I said from steal they created swords ⚔️ that’s why big empires like ghaznavi’s than latter ottomans wanted Roma doma gypsies as their servants slaves they were cheap weapon makers and entertainers that’s the reason why Roma is in Europe because they were great giants of musicians dancers and also very skilled steal workers also had very good sword technic when they escaped from the ottomans one half of Roma helped the Hungarian army’ while the other half were helping the ottomans that’s why the old Hungarian king tought and said Roma gypsies are the spy’s of the ottomans this is also documented .. and by the way Roma don’t just have Indian blood lines Roma didn’t see or been in India since the 10th century Roma people mixed with many nations like Persians Iranians Egyptians Armenia Turkish Arabic and those of us who lives in Europe since the Middle Ages also have European mixing in them as well ..

In the cultural background which gamelan was invented - the Javanese people believe in harmonic composition of multiverse within layers, all of them are represented in gamelan ( "Gamel" means mastery (Based on Sanskrit language), and "Gamelan" might be intepreted as sets of disciplinaries to mastery life, performed as an ensamble).Some of composition are performed in particular time of special events & places as contemplative ceremony. Perhaps,...there's something related with "Binaural frequencies".

It was NOT Soul and Calypso, it was Calypso and East Indian music played in Trinidad at the time. It was called Sokah. Or CalypSokah. The Soul of Calypso. But the kah was to reflect the Indian influence in the music. The first syllable in sanskrit meaning movement. And in Shorty’s words Sokah is the power of movement. It was later mispelled as Soca.
@davidcomma1930
@davidcomma1930 Жыл бұрын
I do not where you get that from . This is the first time I hear about Sokah . Soca is a combination of Soul music( African America music) and Calypso influences period and it never had any Indian influences. Shorty is the inventor of Soca and became Rasta rename himself Ras Shorty I and move he and his family to interior forests areas in Trinidad and live a natural life style studying and meditating on God's word and came up with another form of music call Jamoo music or God's music.

@@davidcomma1930 That is not true. That is a misconception. Lord Shorty created Sokah, and specifically said So is from Calypso... and kah is Sanskrit... because he wanted the music to reflect the East Indian influence. So anyone that tells you it is from Soul music has not done the research. He did a few interviews on this that you can look up.

@@davidcomma1930 Do your research. I have been researching this for the passed 10 years or more. I've listened to the interviews multiple times. He began it as Chutney but took out the Indian instruments because there were complaints that he was ruining Calypso. So he put the rhythms on Calypso instruments... but it still sounded like Chutney for a while. Listen to those first Sokah songs.
