They somehow became my favorite band when I was 9/10 years old (1992/93)… and still are but very much stuck in my mind as The Real Thing/ Angel Dust lineup. Yet I love post AD albums just as much.

True. But maybe they were trying to avoid a scandal. Back in the 90s I remember hearing JM was one of many people caught on video at Michael Jackson's mansion. According to reports very few of the people seen in these videos actually had clothes on 😮. Idk if this is true it's just what was reported by certain non-MSM outlets.

I was eating at a shopping mall last night and I started thinking about Faith No More, I just rushed to do the video while I was there. I noticed afterwards that I forgot to mention Ricochet, which is also a very powerful song for Mike Patton, but then he absolutely pours his heart out in The Last to Know, maybe that's why it's a song they didn't play live because he felt it was too personal. kzbin.info/www/bejne/q5qoZKJsmpllgLc

They fell off hard. Touring on the same material for 30yrs and charging hundreds of dollars for a one act show. Literal definition of selling out.

Whatever Faith No More do, or don’t do in the future is fine by me, they’ve already produced some of the best music music out there, anything added to that is just a bonus, I discovered them just as they were changing from Chuck to Mike as their singer, and I’ve loved them ever since, if I had one thing to say to them, it would be thank you

FAITH NO MORE. FOREVER.

I love Sol Invictus and I was so happy that Faith No More was "back" and making new music. (Unpopular opinion, but I don't care, I'm right) I knew the Mosely reunion shows in 2016 were a bad idea and would disrupt this new era of being reunited as a band. FNM hasn't released anything since Sol Invictus and maybe never will.

LOL at them making Rikki Rachman look like an ass over and over.

Love FNM...but things kept going downhill after Jim left. Yes, there were definitely some great songs, but nothing that compares to when Jim was the axe man. I know many will disagree, but Album of the Year and Sol Invictus were pure doo doo.
@a_planet_on_fire4 күн бұрын
AOTY is a slow burner but it kills. It was way more original than KFAD... which was a more straightforward version of FNM but still a great album. Anyone who thinks evidence or what a day or stripsearch or helpless or pristina or last cup of sorrow were bad or even average songs are just hung up on FNM sounding exactly the way they did on the real thing. Which was a great album but not the only great album they made.
@charlesm.27564 күн бұрын
@a_planet_on_fire Evidence was from KFOD - and it's a great song. There are some good tracks on AOTY - but IMO, they just don't compare to anything off Angel Dust - which I think is probably one of the greatest albums ever made. Sol Invictus is just awful. I don't like a single song off that album. It literally sounds like a cross between Mr. Bungle and Tomahawk. Which, I guess, is awesome for some people, but I'd rather listen to a FNM album.

An Audioslave cd leaked on Napster before the first cd came out, wonder if those songs are still floating around somewhere, Tom was pissed and said they sucked and shouldn't have been heard.

Easily among my top 5, maybe top 3, favorite bands of all time. Definitely most underrated, too many people I find write them off as rap metal, *cringe* nu-metal, or *cringe intensifies* RHCP clones. Rap is just one of many genres they've played with, they're worlds better than any of that nu-metal crap (fight me), and in my opinion RHCP hasn't done much good since they kinda sounded alike (Fight Like A Brave, Higher Ground). Have not put out a good song in over 20 years (again, fight me). I hope Faith No More make more music. Sol Invictus was outstanding.

There's all these people, music fans out there who'll tell you they love a whole lot of music like Nirvana, RHCP, Tool, Muse, Linkin Park, Metallica, Incubus, Queen, Led Zeppelin, Guns N Roses etc but they've never heard of Faith No More or if they have and heard their music they thought nothing of it..
