I use modge podge as that’s what I can get. Sometimes I can get Golden. I don’t think about ordering! I use those bright colored party plastic table cloths. The only time they failed to protect is when the cat walked across freshly painted paper and onto the wood floor! She was a good cat! Now that she’s gone it’s nice to see her paw prints on the kitchen floor! She was a fierce huntress!

Thanks for these details! I've been making handmade books now for at least 5 or 6 years, and many of these names are even new to me! I just now subscribed to you. Can't wait to see what else I can learn in here.

The number of times I needed to hear her say, you don't need to go buy paint, you have paint.😂😂...there goes my excuse to buy more paints. Get out of my stash😂😂😂

I use lots of different types of paper, I love Arches hot pressed watercolour paper (185 or 300 gsm), and also Ca Grain by Canson (224 gsm) which is my go to mixed media paper

Looks absolutely great, was there any particular reason you put covers on the signatures before you bound them?

Does your Sprocket actually print on photo paper? I also was in Italy last year November of 2023(my first overseas trip from USA! I am working on my Italy travel journal and am planning to add lots of my photos. Trying to decide if it’s worth it to get a small device rather than print through the store.

Yes it works on paper in exactly the same way but the paper needs to be cotton based watercolour paper, or washi paper works brilliantly. It needs to be strong enough not to disintegrate when you start adding water. don't soak paper (washi can go under the tap quickly). Just spray with water gently. I would not use a rag to rub off paper or the magic eraser - just gently rub with fingers.

I don’t know how old this recording is and nor do I care…but I Loved Every Minute of it. I too have always loved craft…and art…but have never considered myself good at it. And nor do I care about that! I just love it. I’m now 76 and know how lucky I am to see ‘old’ age. I do like to work a few hours a week with the special needs adults I adore, and although I get paid for it I wouldn’t care if I didn’t…except I can buy more paint, paper, threads, fabric, books…paraphernalia aplenty with the little extra cash! Thank you so much for being you. It was awesome to see the non professional side of you…and I was thrilled to know that you sometimes say things that cannot be heard publicly. I join that club!

I'm looking to create my first journal. It will focus on my family trip. I'm trying to decide what paper to use as the journal will have magazine clips, photos, stickers and a bit of Journaling (probably ink). Do you have any suggestions?
@KBFibersАй бұрын
I guess I should mention that I know very little in the way of paper crafts. I do know some from a perspective of a drawer and I used to do acrylic, oil, and watercolor painting

Obviously watching this tutorial video a year behind time, but I loved it. These little match-box booklets are adorable. So many uses for them and any of them would make a fantastic gift. Even to make little stocking stuffers. Anything is possible. And yes... a running measurement total; figure out what size you want the pages to be, add 1/4" for the width, and then measure carefully. So much fun, and thank you so much for sharing your creativity.
