Hi Tiare! Oh my gosh I totally agree with you about Social Media. At first it almost turned me away from creating. I worked past that Tiare, but then I realized that Social Media was my #1 hindrance in the sense that if I commented on everyone's art in FB or Insta then I had no time for my own art. What made it hard to turn away from that is that beautiful art was barely getting any "likes" never mind comments and I felt so sorry for those people who weren't being supported. I had to quit and take myself away from it all. I have grown to intensely dislike social media and most people, especially teachers, don't like that. To comment seems to bring about those comments like "giggle you do you", "good for you", "well if you are careful its not too bad (or a similar type of comment)" - which all wind up making someone feel icky. So I absolutely love that you, a teacher, takes the stand you do. Lots of hugs to you Tiare :)

Thanks so much. I have to be honest with myself and I share my truth with my students and artsy pals. Glad you were able to pull back and find time for your art. It's so important to not allow yourself to get completely overwhelmed with trying to follow and take care of the entire world and do what others tell you to do. Uuuggghh. Plus I get to be with my artsy crew often off of social media. It's a win, win!
