The number of LED's should be divided by the number of tubes. So, eight tubes with 192 LEDs is 24 LEDs per tube. But your brother had eight tubes with 144 LEDs so each of his tubes only had 18 LEDs each. Yours had more. And I like them going around the tree better than up & down. Just a preference. Both look great!

Yes, I have dark furniture in a bedroom with this color and it stands out beautifully. The biggest predictor of how this color will look is your lighting.

Love the blue! How long did you wait to buff it after painting with a paint brush? I used it for the first time tonight and feel like I need to let it dry for 24 hours before I buff so it doesn’t come off.
@homeandlifewithcynthia26 күн бұрын
I buffed it after a few minutes. I would love to know how waiting longer works out for you. Best to you!

did you build those screens also? If so, I am curious how/what you use to build them?
@homeandlifewithcynthia26 күн бұрын
No I didn’t. We purchased the home with the covered porch built at the same time as the house. However, it seems quite doable. My neighbor extended hers. It’s metal framing and the screen is sold online because my father in-law replaced his. You can buy one that has clear visibility You can Google screens with thin thread for maximum visibility. Our screens grids are small enough that the gnats don’t bother us here in the south. I’ve also seen wooden enclosures with metal roofs that have screens. Best to you!

you can do this, but Wood Wizard is still the best and preferred chemical. Using bleach turns the fence gray and destroys the lignin in the wood.

Thank you! You probably saved me a bunch of headache now that I know how to use it. So to clarify you said to sand and prime before using on furniture handles? And I love the color you chose for the lights.
@homeandlifewithcynthia27 күн бұрын
Yes, find a cheap handle you can practice on and test. For any project where you touch regularly, I would suggest that. Best of luck. I’d love to hear about your success.

Perhaps it would be beneficial to paint the area with regular black or darker paint before the chalk paint if you have light colored walls, so you don’t have to potentially paint so many layers on?
@homeandlifewithcynthiaАй бұрын
That’s a good idea. I imagine it would only help 😬

Question… did you change your tape in between coats or kept the same tape on? Because I know when you paint with regular tape if you wait until it’s fully dry it can chip the paint

We’ve gone through this with one plant or another. It’s horrible but looking back it was super pretty while I wanted them and then when I wanted to change the flowers thats when I knew. The babies would pop up everywhere. I got it controlled eventually but it’s a pain, like pulling weeds. 🤦🏼♀️ lol. It’s happened to me 3 times on different occasions. Always researched care but never if somethings invasive. Now I know. 😅

I trim my lantana into bushes every couple of months so it stays under control. The trimming keeps them blooming year round. My question is what does everyone use to control the worms and caterpillars. I think they are moth caterpillars, not butterflies. They say to spray the entire leaves including the underside but that isn't possible for me because they are trimmed into small bushes. I have tried neem oil but would like to hear what everyone else uses to control this buggers. I am not opposed to insecticides. I do not have lacewings.

Question, I have planted Lantana this spring and it’s grown beautifully. Question I live in NYC. We get a cold winter as low as 32 degrees. Will the lantana come back in the spring. Should I cover them up for the winter ? Thanks for this video.
@homeandlifewithcynthia3 ай бұрын
It really depends on the cultivar that you planted. Some of them go down to 0F, some to 27F etc. If you can remember the name of the cultivar, you can Google by searching the cold hardiness. The great thing is that if they are perennial, you don’t have to worry about them being invasive. 😉

The key to pressure washing a wood fence or deck is only use an electric with no higher than 3000 psi. Pine wood is cheap but spend your money on cedar fencing. Will last a lot longer. As far as the staining, Behr is garbage. Always go with Thompsons water Seal. I'm going to use your method of using the heavy duty sprayer with the All mix & the 30 second cleaner. Pool cleaners tend to have more harmful chemicals than salt that will kill grass as well as almost all plants. I've been a landscaper for 36 years. Cover all your plants and grass areas with cloth or plastic tarps. Great video & hello from Seattle!

Cynthia, I love your indoor patio porch. I need that in my life. Can you share the company that built it?
@homeandlifewithcynthia3 ай бұрын
Gosh I wish I could. The indoor patio was built with the house by the home builder and … yes it is the most magical place at home 🪄I would definitely research that possibility. I’ve had a covered porch without the screen also but here in coastal Georgia we need the protection from the gnats. I loved both of the covered porches so much. I won’t buy a home without one. To your dream, go for it!!!
