5:31 I could see why you think it feels forced, but tbh I would like to learn new things from this series, as opposed to feeling like I’m watching a “remember Dexter??” Kinda show

for me it's pretty average, I would give it 6.5 out of 10, I just watch it in fast forward (about 20 min per episode) only because it's based on original Dexter show, I don't get it, how most of you think it's great...

IÍ dont agree on debra, I think the casting is good in my opinion, she feels like Deb and the original show is from dexters pov so the harry having a kid makes sense, because dexter probably never knew about it

my main complaint is that the actors seem super corny, young debra is the only one that captures the actual vibe of the original.

I think that Brian found Dexter a long time ago but wasn't sure Dex was like him . He didn't want to tell Dex about him and what he is like before he was 100 percent sure . In the original show Brian found out that Dex was a serial killer and found a perfect moment to come back into his life . Maybe if Dex didn't have friends at that time Brian would have told him everything . I like to think of it in that way but it may not be like this at all

I think Brian stalked Dexter for years. He first wanted to make sure Dexter was a killer and also himself get better at killing 😅. In season 1 Brian did say he watched Dexter over the years

Christian slander doesn’t seem like he trained Dexter atall . He doesn’t seem like he has an authority compared to the original Harry . They just rushed into. Dexter killing again , no training or any thing. They had the chance to do something different , but just kept it the same as original . An im not sure how dexters live flashing before his eyes is able to show us flash backs from Harry . More telling then showing us much

I suppose one explanation for the Moser theory is that he didn’t know who dexter was and what he was about considering the nurse was his first kill so far. So there’s nothing to suggest a serial motive… yet.

The casts are great except dexter. I don't have problem with his look but his acting is like something is really off about him like he has a one sided smug like: 😏 a Roblox character, he always has it no matter what the situation is

Doom Patrol is better than Umbrella Academy, by a lot, that said DC's franchises are clearly just trying to catch up to Legion, a superior show in all ways.

I've been pleasantly surprised by how well the new, younger cast have picked up on all the original actor's wee character nuances. New Masuka is eerily similar and has nailed rhe laugh. The actor playing younger Dexter is crushing it too and I think is helped by the Michael C Hall narration which brings continuity to it all, although the new actor has really pinned down the cadence of how Dexter talks in the original show. Batista and LaGuerta absolutely spot on too. Always felt Deb was the weakest character in the original series so her new actor has the hardest job but she's doing a good job of making the character believable and empathetic given she's completely ignored by her family.

Show is almost perfect

Brian is probably looking for his brother and we will find out he didn't know that was Dexter or he wasn't sure. He might have more than one potential. Its not current day with internet access and all the info at your fingertips. So yes its definitely Brian. But he either doesn't know who Dexter is yet OR he isn't ready to confront him because he's not become his own final form of the Ice Truck killer

I think everyone EXCEPT Deb is perfectly casted.

I love Doom Patrol. The show heavily borrowed from Grant Morrison's run of the comic. He pretty much defined watch Doom Patrol was after that. Morrison also wrote an incredible mini series on Flex Mentallo who's side character in Doom Patrol and he appeared in the show. The main singer of My Chemical Romance had a pretty decent run as the writer of Doom Patrol.
