I hate how youtube keeps butchering the quality of my videos. I swear I'm gonna have to render my videos in 4k just to get 1080p quality.

I feel like I'm crazy, but I remember this being an action movie when I watched it with family. Then again I wasn't paying much attention.

The theatrical cut, and the directors cut, are VERY different films.

This movie is positively straightforward in comparison to Southland Tales. Really doesn't help that there is apparently a comic to read first before watching it to "start to get it."
@LaughingLuLu5 ай бұрын
Yeah, I imagine audiences didnt like having to buy a comic to understand the movie.

Did I miss where you say how Donnie Darko Changed Psychological Horror Movies? ( legit question I did skip through the video a bit, not trying to be a dick). I also wouldn't call Donnie Darko a horror movie - psychological or otherwise - by any means.
@LaughingLuLu6 ай бұрын
The video is kinda of just an analysis on the movie, I thought of the title afterwards and I thought it was fitting. I know a lot of people consider Donnie Darko to be a Thriller but I always interpreted it as a psychological horror. I mean yeah, it's not the typical horror movie with blood and gore and jump scares, but I felt like it definitely fit the horror category/definition.
