I do love that they are getting rereleased, and I am glad that these books will stay around for a lot longer. Sadly, for me the idea of a hardcover CYOA novel just breaks my brain. But, that's a me problem.

When one of my sons was very little he had nightmares from a lima bean that was in an episode of Jimmy Neutron. And the monster lima bean came out of one of the characters nightmares, so ever it being "just a dream" didn't help. 🤷

You should trying running Nemesis or Pandora Behavior Engine Then put the mod that swaps all the vanilla textures for those rainbow ones to a lower spot in your load order

I am using a using AzerothCore. We have a few modules added in to make the game a little more interesting for just 2 players. The one that allows me to summon in bots is called mod-playerbots.

fheroes 2 completely re-writes Heroes of Might and Magic 2 to have higher resolutions and QoL features. It may not be the classic HoMM3, but HoMM2 is still beautiful to this day and a blast with friends in hotseat. Great vid, cool mod.

@@dekkstar8452 🤔 making games is hard. Making great games is really hard. There are some good almost like keeper games out there. For me they just never hit that same feeling. Some had too many "new features" and others had the grim-camp balance off. Maybe someday we'll get a good one again.

I remember there was a level somewhere perhaps halfway through the game where you had a huge open area surrounded by lava, and that level just skill-checked me, I never got through it. Even when using the AI assist to bring my economy up faster, it just felt hopeless. Maybe I'll start again one day.

@@Mauntium that level did suck, I don't remember what I did to get past it. But, most of the later levels (the ones I remember) were more puzzles that needed solved than defeated.

@@jonforget as long as it's the widescreen version you're golden. The ones that are 4:3 occasionally cause issues is anything that can't turn widescreen off.

Does this fix the object limits spawning in a level? I know that what killed the game from me whas that after having more than a certain number of things, it completely broke and crashed.

Interesting question. I did not even know this was a thing, but I have played through the whole campaign and KeeperFX has never crashed on me. I also just loaded up a free play game and loaded in monsters until I got tired spawning them in and it didn't crash. I am not 100% sure of the bug you are describing though, so I might be missing something.

yeah we multiplied said limit by 8 so won't bump into it in any normal map, also doesn't crash anymore when it is reached

It was a heady time to surf the net (not a phrase that you hear much these days sadly, that mentality too has mostly disappeared in the streamlined world of web 2.0), if I can think of any similar sites I will be sure to post them. I don't know what you have already done, but her are the steps I do. 1) Make sure it is charged, I know silly, but the more battery it has to work the more reliable it is. 2) In the settings make sure gps is enabled. If someone had it before you they might have turned it off when not working out. 3) Check it on a clear day in the middle of an open place like a parking lot or corn field. Be sure you are out of the car and not under something. 4) At this point replace or repair. Repair will just be using a heat gun to open up the watch and see if you can find a break in any of the electronics. If it's a broken wire of damaged trace and you know how to solder go for it. If you know someone else who knows how and is comfortable with it ask them to do it. My local watch repair place is not good with these, but your might be better. Or replace the watch and just get a new one. you can try and offset the cost by selling the one you have with parts and letting people know what is not working with it. I hope this helps.

ALT+R will change between Normal(320x240) and High(640x480) Resolution, well spotted! I didn't bring it up and I probably should have, but KeeperFX did so much past resolution I got too excited to put it in. My bad. 😔

Yup, that's the way to do it. I've also tried the newer spiritual successors but I always came back to the very first one. Just has that feel and aesthetic that is unmatched in my opinion. Sequel wasn't bad, though I prefer the first one.

For me I think it's that DK is the distilled game, it has just what it needs and nothing extra. The follow ups are good, but nothing has that simple but brutal gameplay.

Wow, I have forgotten how happy that Bullfrog logo used to make me. It's sad to see studios with such great ideas just got killed off in 2001. I of the first studios that got purchased just to shut it down to reduce competition instead of creating a larger amount of games.

Same here the Bullfrog Logo just meant joy to me as a teenager. And reading how the company "merged" with EA and then how things devolved from there, it's just heart breaking. And it took over a decade for people to figure out how to replicate the fun of those games in any way. Dungeons series is great, Two point "location" is a great follow on to the Theme games. Just need someone to do a Syndicate-like and we might be ok.

Nice. I mostly stick with 2 now but much like you I've been trying to find something that scratches the same itch as DK. I had the same opinions on dungeons and war for the overworld.

I will have to look into it. I know this was done originally because Dungeon Keeper and Syndicate Wars were on the same engine and the person who started it really wanted to update that game. I don't know if that ever happened, but this hit 1.0 last year. Update: 29APR2024 - OpenKeeper seems to be a similar option for DK2, but as I don't have a copy handy I can't test it out just yet.

That's fine if you are playing on PC, and have a console command option. The same glitch occurs sometimes on the PS5 still, but I never bother with it. Why? All the dragon walls on Solstheim are repeats of those on Skyrim proper EXCEPT the "Bend Will" shout, which is necessary to complete the Dragonborn quest and beat Miraak.

Yeah, I still don't get it. I do know on console if you have whirlwind shout the threads on Reddit mentioned sneaking and the using whirlwind to skip I er the transition. I did not know that the walls were repeats, thanks for that!

Throw or sell the siege. If you need siege in WvW you can get it then. Normal blue siege is not even something you use anymore you always use the puprle or guild siege because they are better. There you got 3 more slots =P The monkey tonic cost less then a silver on the trading post and have been for years so wont get more of that. If you dont have it, add it to the novelty or sell. 1 more free slot First tab, first row, the 5 th one, is a transmutation charge. The old one, just add them to the wallet by right click them. 1 more free slot. Third tab you have a Bandit bounty. No reason to save those, if you need them just go and kill one bandit and they will drop too many. Just throw that. 1 more slot free. Same tab you have insignia material. Unless you are crafting right, if not sell it. You can make more of them later if you need them. They are cheep. 1 more slot free. Last slot in the third tab. For some reason you have a rare item there. If you have the wardrobe unlocked then sell or salvage. No reason to save it and keep a slot for that. There is a lot more to do but those above are those that are just no reason to have in your bank at all. Sorry for info you did not ask for =)

Same exact problem I have. (Im the same age too, jsut got my 11th B day present 2 days ago!) I play and then go dormant for a while, then come back again and sometimes I just forget what some of these items are for, what value do these items have, what was I working towards. I jsut dont know. and I dont feel like spending 6 hours in front of wikipedia trying to figure it all out....

LOL, sounds amazingly familiar. My wife started calling me an "MMO Hobo" and I love it. It started helping me to keep a spreadsheet of where I am in each game. So, it says "GW2 making Dawn(coolest sword ever!)" so when in a year I return I'll know what's going on. I don't always update it, but it helps sometimes.
