Let's Repair a Garmin Forerunner 220 GPS Watch

Excellent video. thanks. I have this same model and it doesn't find a GPS signal. What do I do?

I don't know what you have already done, but her are the steps I do. 1) Make sure it is charged, I know silly, but the more battery it has to work the more reliable it is. 2) In the settings make sure gps is enabled. If someone had it before you they might have turned it off when not working out. 3) Check it on a clear day in the middle of an open place like a parking lot or corn field. Be sure you are out of the car and not under something. 4) At this point replace or repair. Repair will just be using a heat gun to open up the watch and see if you can find a break in any of the electronics. If it's a broken wire of damaged trace and you know how to solder go for it. If you know someone else who knows how and is comfortable with it ask them to do it. My local watch repair place is not good with these, but your might be better. Or replace the watch and just get a new one. you can try and offset the cost by selling the one you have with parts and letting people know what is not working with it. I hope this helps.
