Your work is always to the highest level. Thank you for running a decent channel. Have you tried the darkside applicator brush yet you got? I like the Autofiber one you have I did notice some wear doing aggressive sidewalls(but they come in a 2-pack). P&S body wash is really hard to beat especially on its cost to performance. I notice your a gyeon installer but just wonder why Carpro eraser over Gyeon Prep? Merry Christmas and again thank you for putting excellent content on here and not a product driven channel.
@nc.detailКүн бұрын
Thanks. The carpro applicator is small and hard which isnt very comfortable. I like the autofiber ones despite the wear but I’ve been getting 6 months plus out of one. We used gyeon prep on this one but it’s no different than eraser.

What is your take on doing gyeon infinite top coat type 2 four in a half months after doing gyeon infinite base coat type 1? As opposed to doing it right after applying base type 1.
@nc.detail10 күн бұрын
Gyeon wants it applied in short order. Why are you looking to do so late?
@Mike-vr6xf10 күн бұрын
@nc.detail I made the decision not to do top coat type 2, but I wish I did. At this point, I was hoping to do it after winter. Couldn't I still do infinite top coat type 2 four or five months from now? After winter.

I put infinite and topcoat on my wife’s car. I love the topcoat too. Awesome hydrophobics like you said! I put synchro evo on my car a year and a half ago, still looks as good as the day I installed it. I’ve had issues with 3d one wipe off way more than I have had with gyeon polish. Strange you had issues with that, maybe it was the paint. Great content, keep it coming!

I hear that, typically gyeon polish is super easy and forgiving to remove. I had the garage temps at 68 so not sure. One can be smeary at times

Good to see you. Happy Holidays to you and your family. Great detail! I have Gyeon Infinite and Top Coat. My issue is I plug the coating up with quick detail sprays here and there. A quick restart wash brings back all the hydrophobics.

I'm booked for a coating with gyeon infinite base type 1. I part of me thinks I should have done infinite type 2 or think I'm good with just the infinite type 1. I live in a state where we have all four seasons. I think I answered my own question. I could have booked gyeon base type 1 with infinite top coat type 1.
@nc.detail22 күн бұрын
Do they offer the choice? I don’t confuse folks with the option and mostly use type 1 base and type 2 top
@Mike-vr6xf22 күн бұрын
@nc.detail No, it wasn't offered to me. I know they do it, though. I was thinking about bringing it up, but I will have to see if they have time. Could you do infinite base type 1 with top coat type 1? What do you think of infinite base type 1 by itself?

As a fellow man of paint correction and all things shine inducing on paint , you must give a shot at using a (dampened with rinseless wash) microfiber towel . put about a gallon of water with a few towels , add a couple of capfulls and it saves time in the long run as well as basically 100% cuts down the possibility of removal of compound scratches that plague soft paint

Multiple pads and blow out after each pass. Depends on the detail but it takes about 9-15 pads of different sizes.

Looks really nice, the color really pops and the brushed texture adds a subtle unique quality look to them vs. matte. Beautiful garage and production quality on your content as well. I am a past customer of Forged Perf. and chatted with Courtney about these wheels after seeing a few photos. You have definitely sold me. How are they holding up and do you happen to know how much they weigh? I'm sure they are much lighter than the cast Sport Classics but curious if they are lighter than the forged OE Turbo Design I am currently running. FYI you can also wrap your center caps if you had a color match and wanted to change it up. I am awaiting a recoat of a set of RS Spyders to a dark gloss anthracite and tried it out on a spare set of caps. It came out better than expected.
@nc.detail3 ай бұрын
Thanks. The wheels have been great and would buy from Courtney again. The center caps they provide are poor quality though, I bought some reps off Rennlist and they look and feel much better.
@bm_sfl3 ай бұрын
Thanks for the information. Do you happen to know the weight of the wheels? I always go with OE center caps for about $30 bucks each from those online discount OE parts dealers, it's well worth it. Have you considered the Sport Design mirrors? That was one of my first DIY mods and it completes the SD package on the GTS. You paint them yourself so you can choose to body match everything or have the bottom half and base as a contrasting darker color.
@nc.detail3 ай бұрын
I don’t weigh them but I’m also curious I’ll do it when I pull them off for the winter. I’m likely done with mods unless I come across a used Cobb as I’d like to swap cars next year.

@@nc.detail One more question, how do you like the PS4 A/S tires vs. the LS3 on your Sport Classic wheels? I have PS4 A/S and like them a lot but curious on your feedback on running the LS3 Summers back to back with PS4 A/S. Also, happy to buy these wheels if you ever sell them separate from the car.

Thank you for this practical review! I'm about to buy it but now I'm rethink since I always do heavy correcting. Cordless is future yes I agree but for the moment I think I'll stay on the cord until there's significant improvement on battery durability. And the price of battery itself is not cheap as well.
@nc.detail4 ай бұрын
Cordless has been working well but I’m only polishing a couple cars a month. It takes two machines and four batteries to keep things moving. I’m curious on the battery degradation as that’ll change things quickly.
@bonhamhensley4 ай бұрын
@@nc.detail sadly two machines and four batteries costs a lot. Do you feel any declining performance when battery in let's say, 20%?
@nc.detail4 ай бұрын
I hear you. Rupes starts to lose power in the last 5 or so minutes. Rotary lasts longer as it’s more efficient motion and don’t notice any power loss. Nothing wrong with corded machines.
