There is an Easier way to do this if you are Lazy like me. My Battery Lasted 30 Years and died today. I just lifted the Lid, Cut the 2 Positive Pins and the One Negative under the battery and soldered a PC CR2302 which has a positive and Negative leads and it came with double sided tape tab to stick it to the Main Board. Good for at least 10+ years. I have stock lying around of these archive.communica.co.za/Content/Catalog/Images/I0875319433.jpg Good Video, and I am sure a CR2450 would last another 30 years.

Hello! I want to ask you something. I know that the weight of solo knit band is only 50g. And now I use Elite strap with no battery and this is light at the back so the quest 3 goes down and touches the nose. Is it okay to use pro interface with solo knit band?
@RetroBoxRoom9 күн бұрын
I’ve never had a problem. I did end up using a padded strap across the top as well. The very reason why I use the 3D printed parts that allow for that. The A.S.K.B. fits very snuggly at the back of the head, even out the strap across the top.

Thanks! Hall Effect joysticks use magnets and sensors. Which means there isn’t rubbing parts like other versions of joysticks where variable resisters are used. This means that they should last far longer, and feel smoother. At least that’s what I understand from all the buzz over them.

is the button easy to press? with just a little power? gently? will the legs get tired if they press continuously for hours? you know, like the Middle mouse button, there are buttons that are hard to press, it makes you tired if pressed continuously, unlike the left mouse click which is mostly soft and easy to press. what if I have 2 pieces, can they be set for different keyboard shortcut keys? are memory macros stored on the device? can it be used for Canvas panning in photoshop? it works by pressing and holding the keyboard space bar, however it does not work if pressing and holding using the mouse, will result in repeated spaces. somehow, the canvas panning function using the middle mouse in affinity could work like a keyboard spacebar being held down. it needs to be specially programmed if you want to use it in photoshop.
@RetroBoxRoom14 күн бұрын
The button is soft to press. You can get two or three button versions so only one USB cable is used. The button(s) act as if you’re using a second keyboard. So they can be programmed, and you no longer need the software.

How did you connect it to your phone? I could see it on my WiFi pairing list, but when I clicked it, it says "No device connected for now, go to home" on the app and "Connected without internet / Not secured" on my phone... I cannot connect the device to my phone thus renders it useless for me, since the whole reason I bought it is to upload my own image to the mask.

Once setup it works marvelously nice. However, i had a hard time inserting the ribbon properly. If not perfectly aligned, the drive seems to work but behaves like it is misaligned and can't pass the tests within DrawbridgeWin. I would have loved to use something else than these slim drives and be able to use a classic 3,5' drive in a nice external case with a header easier to handle.
@kingforaday87252 ай бұрын
Update on these drives. I've found the chances of getting a drive that will work is not guaranteed. I ordered one from Amazon from a recommendation and it was the correct one. Three months later I reordered the same thing and it had the wrong connection. Now three tries later and I have found a second one that works. So 2 of 5 were the correct drives. Two hints on putting this back together. One make sure one of the small wires doesnt cover the screw hole. Two when sliding the top cover back on make sure the eject button goes into its slot. You did mention both of these.

Hey! i'm 5 years too late but i figured i'd shoot my shot. For our game we are going to use this little device and it just came in! I wanna do the same thing as you do on the video but with a EU Adapter. I was wondering if i need to solder the black cable on a different pin or if i just solder it on the same pin as in the video? The only difference is the EU Cable, which is 220-240 Volts I've been scouring the Manual of the SC88 pro, but i just can't find the exact place for the pin on there. Maybe you know? Thanks so much for your help!!! This video is the best help ever because without this i wasnt even able to figure out how to do this in the first place!!!
@RetroBoxRoom4 ай бұрын
Hi, it’ll won’t make a difference if you wire it up to the 240 or the 230pin. If you freeze frame the video, you’ll see the different voltage pins, and you’ll see it when you crack it open anyways. The UK and the EU are both are on 230V -6% and +10%. Back in 2003, it changed for the EU from 220V and the UK from 240V. Let me know how you get on, and thank you for the kind words!

@@RetroBoxRoom I don't own a Konix, so I don't know. I've sprayed contact cleaner in each switch, but the problem is specifically with the diagonal moves to the up/left & up/right. I figured since the 'up' switch is common to both, perhaps it's the problem. Oddly, all other directions work just fine.

Me and my friend Jeff used to log onto the local BBS back in the day and download software (ahem!) to try it out on my 300 baud modem and my C64. We'd wait for AGES for a game to download, then load it up and....it wouldn't work half the time. Still, I remember those days with fondness. Some of the PETSCII BBSes did some very clever things with PETSCII animation. I was in heaven when my mom and dad bought me a 1200 baud modem for Christmas.

I too started out accessing local BBS's with a C64 and 300 baud modem in May 1992. A bit late for most but such was my life at the time. I too remember enjoying the bump up to 1200 baud a month or so later. And then 2400 baud after that... and then I maxed it out with a 56k US Robotics before the 90s ended. Fun times!

@@LordHasenpfeffer Now that I think about it, 56K baud works out to about 7K/sec transfer speed which a 1.02mhz processor should be able to handle with no problem. Must have been nice downloading programs in less than a minute instead of an hour or more!
