@@RockG.o.d Yes. But got worse over time. At first I thought it was part of the background sound of the virtual room. It was worse when the headset and battery were both at 100%. It basically isn't good enough, and I'll discourage anyone buying any under par battery. The design of the strap is more down to personal choice, but for me wasn't nice to wear.

@@RetroBoxRoom I like the strap. But the battery whine is something I may have to have a look at when I try the battery. It came with 4 lights charged, but I also have another battery which is same, I used it with a usb c lead and didn’t notice any noise. I did notice though that the nights are not as evenly lit on the battery which came with the headset.

As I say in the video, it's more a click or a buzz rather than a coil whine. I believe it's the headset trying to latch on to the underpowered voltage of the battery. Which is why I believe it not to be something worth risking.

I play pcvr with link cable so the battery is just a counterweight for me. The strap is way better than the kiwi design strap, at least for my head

Agreed. The kiwi h4 head strap dosent come down on the back enough because it locks up. Also the forehead pad is weird and I hate the head strap. Battery was better but comfort wasn't there.

I received my Bobo M3 pro yesterday and I did not have any buzzing sound. It seems they changed the battery. The previous battery was 3 amp and the battery I received is 2.6 amp.

I have 5 batteries leftover from quest 2. Just keep them all charged and check them during breaks. For now anyways

No battery buzz whatsoever here. This is a very comfortable headstrap for me, the only thing I wish it did better was not move around because the weight makes it feel wobbly Update: After a week of use, I've decided I am going to purchase the Kiwi Elite strap with 10,000mAh battery; and sell the BoboVR M3 Pro for as much as I can get for it. I'm not even sure what I'm doing different, but whereas it fit really well when I first got it - it now feels annoying on my head and I can't get it to sit quite right. Also, the 5200mAh battery is stupid. They know the power-draw on the Q3 is quite a bit more than Q2, yet they stick with the same old battery? Gives me about an extra hour-and-a-half, which is nice but not enough.

You should try the binbok t3 strap. It’s elite style with 2 hot swappable 8000mAh batteries and a wireless charging dock for them. It’s one of the only good straps so far that can charge the quest 3 while it’s in use.

Mine's going back as well although not for anything to do with the battery, I just really didn't like the comfort. KZbinrs rave about this like it's the second coming but I really didn't get on at all well with it. Due to the way it doesn't hug my face as much as usual (being a halo strap), I found myself faffing about to get it to sit right every time I put it on and after some use my head was getting really hot, especially across the forehead. I'd been using the ZyberVR elite strap (not a halo one) and found that allot more straightforward and comfortable so I'll be going back to that and will look at a separate battery solution.

I found it to be comfy at first, but the sad truth is, that's easily done compared to the stock one. I too wasn't happy with how it fitted me. Though as we both know, it's down to personal preference, when it comes to fitting. Thanks for watching!

yea I used the bobovr halo strap with quest 2 for 8 months, then got a kiwi elite strap and couldn't believe the difference.

I've also got the Zyber elite strap and noticed the same thing, I've also tried 2 halo straps and it's not quite as secure unlike on the Quest2, still good but not quite perfect.

if its like the bob vr headstrap i got for the quest 2 with out the battery then it will not work cus i would turn my head and it would move untill it would fall off from the back and would not stay on unless you didnt turn your head or move

If you buy some sticky back velcro stickers you can cut them into smaller shapes and secure it to the back. Not perfect but helps if its coming loose.

Can the battery cable be disconnected from the battery dock side? Already have Ankers 30W A1256 batteries so I'll just strap those somehow there...

You can actually just buy the bobovr headstrap without the battery or at least that's how it was for the quest 2

This is only a 5200mAh, shouldn't get anything less than 10,000mAh. I'm currently just using the battery I use for charging my mobile phone, as its a 10,000mAh and I just put it in my trousers pocket, allows me to play for 6 hours and the Quest 3 doesn't lose charge as I'm playing.

no wonder why this strap is alot cheaper than the elite strap with battery, it's cheaper for a reason, I have been looking at this strap for a while, but I am leery on halo style straps, they are not really my favorite kind of straps in general, the sliding on the arms of this strap on to the headset doesn't look that appealing, that's why I like the elite strap, it just snaps on to the headset, I have been looking at the Binbok strap with battery, it's similar to the elite strap with battery, not a halo style either, it has a powerful enough battery to keep the Quest 3 charged and it has good reviews so far

The Meta Quest battery strap has now been pulled for the time being. There's a difference between, whine, buzzing and clicking.
