For anyone reading this, the 4 squares for GBA games that are clear like pokemon is no longer a good way to look for fakes. It can be faked now.

All fans remember three Goons. Most remember Michael Bentine and Wallace Greenslade too, but I remember Ray Ellington the voice of Throat. You did not hear him often, but he was always a punch line worth listening too. Seagoon after knocking on a door "Mother!" Throat "Pardon me Sir I am not your mother I m the butler".Seagoon "You shouldn't wear your kilt so long" Throat "I have reason for that".

Your background music is more foreground you need to tone it down as it is hard to hear you which is a shame as it is a very interesting video

Well it's gone 10 years already with no complaints, so it can't be that bad!! And, y'know, it's really too late now to try adjusting things now, some 10 years after all the source files have long been deleted.......

Why did the BBC have to put laughing in the background, it´s so annoying.

I kept mine in pretty much mint condition for years, but then handed them down in the family so they could be played with. Sometimes a twinge of regret, but then toys should be played with and they were.

The Goon show would never have happened without the writing support from the likes of Eric Sykes and Larry Stephens. Stephens does not get enough credit in my opinion. He had to endure constant bullying and insults from Milligan. When Stephens died suddenly of a brain injury, Milligan said " the bastard deserved it." As for Peter Sellers, he would have been detained under Section 3 of The Mental Health Act.

On the list of most influential comedic teams ever, one won't call long until getting to this crew. Pretty much every great British Comedian from the 1960 on (Dud and Peter, all of the Pythons to a man to start) give credit these guys as an inspiration.

@wednesday_tvshow: When I get the time and inspiration to film a sequel.. 😃 I've not left YT, and follow a bunch of other subjects that take more of my free time - plastic modelling, and audio, hi-fi, vintage equipment, retro games, etc.... I'm not here to make money out of YT, and when I do post, it's purely because it's something that I'm interested in... and more Daleks will follow..... 😉 👍

Remember playing with my dalek in the mid 60's with my cousin, my dad bought it for me when he was working away. Sadly it fell down a flight of stone stairs in my aunties house and broke to pieces. Always liked daleks since then

My Dad heard this live when first aired, and he listened to many hours of recordings with me when i was a boy. Many uproarious guffaws were had by all. There are still lines, scenes, catchphrases and silly voices that my brother and I share to this day, even though my father is long gone. They don't make 'em like this anymore. Further, my Venturer Unit had Harry Secombe as honorary member. We asked if he would swear our oath, and his reply contained a polite refusal on the grounds that he '' .. knew a few oaths ...'' of his own.

I often got in trouble in school because i would draw interceptor's and UFO's in battle during math or English class. I was awarded an art award in Junior High, went to H.S. of art and design in NYC and still paint outer space themed painting's 50 years later. Thanks for the video.

I didn’t start listening to the goons till I moved to Missouri for a short nine month job stint and local radio station out in the middle of nowhere they started playing the goon shows on weekends Saturday I believe I was so impressed I got back to My Home in Los Angeles area eventually I got a CD with every one of their shows and eventually upgraded it to a flash disc At the same time I was working for my boss who was in World War II that was stationed over there and he used to listen to the goon shows over there in England

Regarding the metallic blue Thunderbird 2 (3rd production), I seem to recall hearing that the reason for this colour change from green was because the green was considered to be "too militaristic" at a time when the Vietnam war was regularly in the news. Does anybody know if this is true and, if so, who were the actors in this decisio?

I still have the Herts Plastic Moulders Dalek that I got in 1965. I had the original Marx Dalek. The batteries were U11 as I recall. Now called C batteries. They changed the mechanism because it was said to be too dangerous, not because you couldn't get the batteries.

Hmm, I'm wondering whether anyone can identify this toy that I had as a kid? It was a sci-fi vehicle, somewhat similar to the Matchbox "Adventure 2000" series, but I can't see it in that range. Main thing I remember about it was that it had a kind of circular dish mounted on it with a snazzy "lenticular" effect that meant if you looked into it you saw a 3D-ish yellow and black stripes effect, like a screen.

This makes me want to get up the loft and find my own old toys :) I definitely had several of these: a blue T2, the green Interceptor, a Space 1999 Eagle, etc., alongside other non-Gerry Anderson vehicles like the 1960s Batmobile with the plastic "flame" in the exhaust pipe and the Goldfinger Aston Martin that launched an unfortunate little plastic chap out of the ejector seat :)

Brought back a few Memories as I too had a Metallic Green Interceptor and I suppose you sound as mystified as I am\was why it was Metallic Green. I suppose the real reason why is either lost in "the mists of time" or maybe down to some way around the copyright and or Royalties issue perhaps, great feature thanks 😏

The excuse/story that went around back then was that someone a Dinky felt that boys would be more interested in, and more likely to want to play with toys painted green, rather than white! If that was the case, why did all their Thunderbird 2 toys get painted blue instead of green, as the TV model was, and indeed the first green Dinky release! 😝 It's a good job they didn't apply that "logic" to their FAB-1 model - it really wouldn't have too good in bright metallic green!! 😂
