I decided to bite the bullet and buy an iPad mini 6. I just unboxed it yesterday and I’m watching this vid on it right now. So far I really can appreciate the size of the device. It’s a perfect in between for when my phone screen might be too small and when my iPad Air or laptop would be too big and cumbersome. I decided to just get the base model with 64gb of storage because my M1 air has 256 gb and the mini is just meant to be a secondary iPad for me. However so far I foresee myself using the mini way more often than the Air as I have been on my mini all day yesterday and today and it has left a very good impression so far.

Great video! I own a 12.9" M1 iPad Pro and a Samsung Galaxy S8 Ultra. I use the iPad Pro for illustration and studying. (I'm an Engineer by education and profession ... but former US Army Illustrator). I use the Samsung S8 Ultra for illustration also, but mostly for business (teaching Sunday School, Engineering work, etc) as it works better for me for those functions (I'm an Android and Windows person mostly). I just ordered an iPad Mini 6 today (for studying and illustration) to have a smaller, more convenient portable solution.

@@CartoonDaily1 I've really loved it! I've owned several iterations of the iPad over the years, including a Pro. But, this mini is by far the one that seems the most useful because of it's size - makes it more portable, easier to hold for longer periods of time (which come in handy for e-reading), and great for note taking and planning (and the occasional mobile gaming; it being the mini allows me to pair it with an Xbox controller Otterbox clamp, and its still balanced when magnetized onto the controller). @@CartoonDaily1 Understood. I am a registered independent. What I am drawn to about BCP is that he was a Democrat and had a paradigm shift in regards to his political perspective. I admire those who are willing to challenge their own beliefs. That takes courage. Greg's political perspectives are secondary to his work-ethic. I have been inspired to watch him "grow his channel" and find his "nitch." I am considering an entrepreneurial venture, myself. Understanding the challenges, I find inspiration in others who have done it well. And more importantly -- others who *keep* *going.* As a person with ADD, I get very excited about projects at the start... then avoid the minutiae, the tiresome tasks that are required to execute the vision that excited me when the business, the project was still a "new and shiny object!" Greg sometimes post four or five well-researched videos a day. I don't know how he does it! I think I am intrigued more than anything. He also focuses on his health, working out, etc. As a person who struggles to complete even two to three important tasks in a day... I watch his channel to set the bar for myself in regards to what one can accomplish with commitment and focus. I'm not there yet. I hope to get to that level of productivity, one day. But I can't imagine being able to navigate my distractibility enough to be able to do so. I have had some brilliant ideas, most of which have not come to fruition. YET! 🙃

Thanks for commenting! This is a great question. I think it would depend on what you will value the most for the iPad of choice….more screen (10th gen)…or a more mobile and lighter iPad (Mini 6). I was just diagnosed at 40. I have felt, as you say, like "something was fundamentally wrong with [me.]" I am now grieving the years I struggled, and my family struggled, to understand why I was so behind in life -- in spite of being charismatic, attractive, motivated, highly intelligent and creative. Society at large and our medical system underestimate the devastating impact of untreated learning disabilities. I am an individual who reveres family values. But I declined THREE marriage proposals from upstanding, loving, financially stable, moral partners -- because I felt I couldn't "adult," couldn't function, well enough to be a wife or a parent. What a blessing that your wife understands your need to "regulate." I relate to you in regards to ambulances... Communication is key. How I wish I could have explained to family members who are now passed what was going on. My mom spent her entire life being a wonderful, nurturing parent -- but feeling and telling others she was a "bad parent," and had somehow failed at parenting. Heartbreaking. Growing up, she would say, "I wish there were classes in parenting." She just needed access to information. My school, a Christian school, offered her no assistance in regard to resources. We were simply encouraged to pray and to affirm that I was, "God's perfect child."

Hi! First, thank you for taking the time to watch and for sharing your thoughts! I’m so, so sorry you had to go through those challenges and that it was so difficult to connect with family and to go forward in a relationship that could’ve led to marriage. But the fact that you’re still here to speak on the struggles and that you’re still alive and well is indicative that you still have so much more purpose! I’m thankful to God for your life and for you still hanging on and keeping going!

@CartoonDaily1 Thank you. I applaud you for embarking upon the journey of spreading awareness and understanding via a YT channel. I adore my family, they adapted extremely well. My regret is that I got mad at my mom for nagging me -- when that was often the ONLY way I could snap out of my "cognitive freeze." HealthyGamerGG (who does a wonderful series on ADD, btw) talks about the challenges in parenting a child with ADD. He references the fact that parents often learn to yell -- as that seems to be the only effective technique. ADD didn't seem to cause conflict in my romantic relationships. The biggest issue was in my being late and disorganized. It's the underachieving that resulted in my feeling unworthy of such good men, while at the same time feeling like "a catch." I look forward to your future videos. Keep your own pace. Best.

THANK YOU!! I have been looking for someone's review that occasionally preaches and studies the Bible on the mini. I am interested in the mini, but my main question is how is the note taking experience in theological books that are more dense? Secondly, when preaching is there any drawbacks to how small the screen is (losing your place, having to scroll a lot because only so much fits on a screen, seeing the print because it's smaller)? Thank you for any help!
@CartoonDaily1
@CartoonDaily1 3 ай бұрын
HI!! Thank you so much for your encouragement! No one really mentioned using their devices for Biblical content and it was something on my heart to do. Thankful to the Lord for your comment and question! So, the note taking experience and reading over books I think is dependent upon two things ... screen size and comfortability. I ought to make another video (maybe a Reel) and mention that Logos works AWESOME on this! I was impressed! So I'm always reading very dense material on the iPad mini but typically it's in an on-the-go scenario. If I'm really needing to dig deep....I'm on my MacBook using Logos and other books. If I need a Quick Look at dense information, the Mini does work well. I also use the app Notion to take notes. That and the Apple notes. Also, surprisingly enough, I don't lose the spot where I'm preaching. And, when I feel a little nervous about the possibility....the key for me is to enlarge the words JUST enough to where I can see. Not too large....just readable. I usually use Google Docs and download the doc before I go to a church or meeting. I'm sure there's better apps than what I'm doing. The Mini is slightly smaller than my Bible...so it's a great size, lightweight, and good for taking notes.
@micahodom2487

Wow… that is pretty much exactly what I’m looking for. I travel a lot, so portability and readability on planes is important for me. I wanted to ask about Logos, but wasn’t sure if you used the program so I’m extra appreciative that you mentioned that! Also, the Google Docs approach is exactly what I do when preaching, it’s a pretty good system.
