One major design flaw is the refrigerant lines. Having that flare connection on the air handler makes it challenging and sometimes impossible for installation in situations where there is limited depth in retro fit configuration.

Is this as energy efficient as the hyper heat? I have gas ducted system now I was under the impression This was a ducted system from a dealer near me, now I'm confused.

Why did you leave all of that extra line coiled up behind the unit?

This video is misleading. I installed a 2nd gen mr.cool diy a long time ago after getting a hvac quote that was insane. At the time, with federal and utility rebates and parts, I think it cost me like $300 total to instal. Still running great all these years later. If you are handy (aka can do basic electrical & other diy stuff) then it's easy. In this video you purposely make it look bad and sloppy, most DIY people will read the directions and watch a video or 2 on KZbin before attempting. Just because it is DIY doesn't mean you need to be sloppy. DIY in this case just means that you don't need to flare, pump the lines down, nitrogen pressure test, and vacuum the linsets. None of that is hard but most diy'ers won't have a nitrogen tank or the vacuum pump.

Where can we get the spray and bibs from? If we don't have a coil pressure washer what else can we use?

How many btus is the ducted unit? Is it sufficient enough for all three rooms? Also, is your floor mount connected to the same Condenser unit?

Very Nice looking work. I’m a 35 yr HVAC Veteran Service Mgr. I love seeing quality work. Because it seems rare these days. Too many home owners watch the DIY shows to where the see them build a Whole system in 30 min and the expect us to do the same thing. But Cheaper! lol

You didn't make a point at all. Major selling point is a cover comes with the pro install? Really? I could buy line covers for myself and all my neighbors with the savings I get by doing my own system. MrCool is generally rebranded high quality equipment. HVAC companies are cons. Two tried to rip me off with 12k installs.
