I'm planning to build a custom home in Maryland and am interested in SVZ air handler. Is it possible to do a 4 or 5 zone system or with that many zones is it better to go with a ductless minisplit system?

I have this heat pump. It’s 2.5 ton size. My question is, will my generator run this unit? My generator has a peak 8400 watts and 6700 running watts. It’s a firman TO7573 and I have a transfer switch. I’d be running the heat pump for heat, the fridge and maybe my septic pump. They all may not be able to run at the same time. But I’m more concerned about the heat pump for winter, since it’s the only source of heat. Thanks.

Hi, sorry, I'm not very knowledgeable about the product, does it support split units for cooling and if so, how many can you install? Thank you

Is the purchase/install cost comparable to a mid - high end traditional ac/natural gas furnace? I’m being quoted 18k for a new system.

I’m considering getting a 2 ton system for my house. Anyone have the same, similar setup? Seems undersized although with newer technology it might suffice. Still need to replace old windows.

I have the Intelli-Heat Mitsubishi model which is a duel fuel set up with your original gas furnace as a back up. The contractor that did the install went with a 3 ton unit for my 2000 sqft home. I previously had a 2 ton ac unit but here in Wisconsin they wanted to make sure that it could heat down to well below freezing

@@jko0526 Thanks for the reply. I reckon I will need a backup propane/gas furnace as well with the standard heat pump. If I can get the the hyper heat version I don’t think I will need a backup furnace. But it’s better to have a backup heat source even with the hyper heat. System down, freezing rain, equipment failure, etc.

Can you use an Ecobee thermostat with this setup?
@kevinconte9343 Жыл бұрын
You would need Mitsubishi wireless thermostat called limbo cloud for wireless connectivity

I have the Mitsubishi thermostat that is shown in this video and I absolutely hate it! I went to this thermostat from a Nest and I can’t believe that this thermostat is what Mitsubishi recommends. When programming it there is hardly any variation in time and temp. Very few options on this model.

I’m using the ecobee. I am so glad that I didn’t go the Mitsubishi t-stat route!! This Mitsubishi Hyper Heat is pretty awesome!

@@NawMan357 I have an Ecobee now but was told it would not work with a Mitsubishi system? How did you connect it?

That is one ugly thermostat, is the regular Mitsubishi wired wall thermostat available?

Wireless is a option, looks lazy mounting it to the unit 😅😢

They have an interface that converts it to a standard 24v thermostat, so you can use your thermostat of choice on these.
