I quite liked Douglas' views on generative art, but I find these conversations very uncomfortable to listen to without an actual professional artist to chime in. Basically two non-artists discussing the philosophy of "what is art" and then telling everyone, "don't worry, we like human artists" feels a bit patronising, and it feels especially weird on this biased platform. It doesn't matter if the people who are making the tools have good intentions or not, this technology is literally strangling the creative industry and artists need our support. Whether AI art is good or not also doesn't matter when you're considering that the people who built everything that AI is trained on are about to be told they're not needed anymore and their work dries up. It's not fair, we all see it coming and we should do something about it now.

This is like watching my first HD KZbin video back in 2008: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sJ3JfJeYjNylq7s. It doesn't even look that great by today's 4K standard, but, I particularly remember being blown away that you could see the crabs' individual arms, instead of red blobs like they would have been in 480p. Ummm... this is the first time that I've seen AI generated video (if it truly is that, and this isn't just a stunt from Google (like Microsoft's "Milo" (yikes!) )) where most of is passes as real footage. Imagine if this is made available to the masses... we truly will not be able to tell what is "real". The lady in black and white at the end speaking without weird glitches with her lips and teeth was the most impressive thing to me.

I want to give a big shoutout to Hannah. She’s one of the best (if not the best) interviewer on AI topics I’ve come across! After watching many other interviews where the interviewer asked bad questions, gave irrelevant comments or interruptions, it’s a breath of fresh air to hear Hannah’s interview! Thanks for doing a great job! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I think here is the importance of unbinded Permutations clear. If you give Lee Sedol in all of his rest life to Play only one Game against Alpha go, He might win. Because a maschine is not organic like us. The human mind has past time in his mind ne that is a hindrance for it. You can compare a maschine wir a man whose mind refresh itself fully each milisecond
