Genuine question... why release the demo after sora was released? Clearly this was ready. Feels like Google is ceding the bleeding edge to openai?

I'd prefer to ask OpenAI why they waited so long to release Sora and why it wasn't any better.

This is the bleeding edge of AI.

OpenAI was doing this to Google. Releasing something right after a big google release.

This is like watching my first HD KZbin video back in 2008: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sJ3JfJeYjNylq7s. It doesn't even look that great by today's 4K standard, but, I particularly remember being blown away that you could see the crabs' individual arms, instead of red blobs like they would have been in 480p. Ummm... this is the first time that I've seen AI generated video (if it truly is that, and this isn't just a stunt from Google (like Microsoft's "Milo" (yikes!) )) where most of is passes as real footage. Imagine if this is made available to the masses... we truly will not be able to tell what is "real". The lady in black and white at the end speaking without weird glitches with her lips and teeth was the most impressive thing to me.

No, it is like Open AI Sora a video generation model.
