What are you talking about? What did you not understood in this tutorial? You're not helping bro 😂
@Zoey_KLКүн бұрын
The issue is using Adobe products, that's why your materials look bad
@PrimalVFX23 сағат бұрын
Their is no issue here, what are you talking about? I'm not using adobe product for 3D purposes... Maybe you mean Autodesk? Stop trolling around.

None of the imported data maps need to be set to RAW?
@PrimalVFXКүн бұрын
All of them need to be in raw. Always everything in raw appart for base color > Srgb or rec709. In the tutorial I don't show the switch in raw because I have a color settings rules that applies raw automatically as the maps are in Exr. Sorry for that.

What's the purpose of doing such a bad effect in 3D when you can do the same thing on compose with a few passes...?
@PrimalVFX16 күн бұрын
ok... you're a bit harsh don't you think? Yes you can do a lot of things in comp, but that wasn't the purpose of the video. Appart the fx, learn different techniques with nodes is always useful.
@doctorgamer350715 күн бұрын
the tutorial shows an effect that can be improved and used for your own needs, also the passes you can render from a 3d scene are not the same as the ones you can make in compositing whether it is on after or nuke. we are talking about very different worlds. the purpose of a tutorial is also to learn the tools and the various nodes. In my opinion I find it a very good tutorial.

At 3:22 how did you aplied the gold shader as you keep the displace shader at the same time in the render view?
@PrimalVFX19 күн бұрын
@RedDragon775 The gold shader does not have displacement. But the previous shader applied has displacement. It's a bug from Arnold. As long as you do not close the ipr or refresh completely the cache it will maintain previous displacement. This tutorial was done in Maya 2018 so it is possible that you don't have this bug.
@PrimalVFX19 күн бұрын
If you want the displacement on the gold shader just take the displacement node and connect it to the shader engine of the gold shader

Substance Painter is incredibly powerful and widely used in both the VFX and Game industries. Its specialized tools and flexibility make it a crucial asset for professional texturing work. It’s worth investing the time to master it!
