My German Shepherd is very protective of our Granddaughter he won’t let her out of our gate without Grandpa. These dogs are very smart . Our Shepherd is part of our family!

Dogs can do amazing things for us. My dad had German Shepherds all of my life trained by my uncle. They were trained to be my dad's ears. They went to work with my dad, a tire building company where my dad was the head electrician. At home they protected me and my mom . I would take them for long walks and they would pull me on my roller skates and my bicycle. At the playground they protected me and played with me. As a adult I trained my own diabetic medical alert service dog, my shih tzu Cocco was amazing, The very best dog I've ever had. Cocco was my constant shadow, he lived 16 1/2 years. Passing away last April 2024. I am still grieving for him. I don't know if I will have another dog. At 57 my Rheumatoid arthritis is bad and right now I just don't have the energy to train another dog. Service dogs are amazing but the training is important. And never ending. If you want a fabulous dog. I loved this story, Well written and well told.

I'm not sorry for Karen. If she couldn't deal with her daughter, all she had to do was leave her with her grandparents and keep on walking if she didn't want to keep being a mother. But to leave her abandoned in the woods unforgiven. People say that these kinds of stories aren't true. We have seen animals ask for help, and we don't know why things happen, but they do. Just because we haven't been there to witness it doesn't mind it hasn't happened. God bless the grandfather that new something was wrong and went to look for Emily ❤❤❤❤😢😢. 😊

@NarratingEmotions2008 The most moving kind of story for me is one in which the dog or cat owner dies quietly and serenely at the end. The animal knows but does not panic. Instead, it wisely snuggles up to its owner as his life fades. The animal feels it has no reasom to l8ve but it too dies serenely 3 days later, with no regrets but much gratitude and love. 🔥💜🌈⛅️
