I'm not sorry for Karen. If she couldn't deal with her daughter, all she had to do was leave her with her grandparents and keep on walking if she didn't want to keep being a mother. But to leave her abandoned in the woods unforgiven. People say that these kinds of stories aren't true. We have seen animals ask for help, and we don't know why things happen, but they do.
