Just out of curiosity, could I hypothetically quickly open a door fire the round quickly shut the door and expect the round to go off or would it break due to impacting a solid surface like a wall or floor

Just started happening to me. This is what I thought. Digital logic typically "works" below its stated minimum voltage supply level and typically it uses nano to micro amps to operate. But a coil to pull an unlocking device sucks massive power. They should change these to rechargeable batteries only, because the coil sucks alot of current to create a magnetic field. When that field collapses, after the lock is open, it induces current flow back into the coil but in the opposite direction. That could be used to put back some energy to your battery to make it last longer. But theres no way to tell if a rechargeable battery is in there.

Uhhhh. How does the night vision work with the scope at night? How far can you see? The fact that you didn't show the ~300 yards at night so we can see how far the NV went is quite disappointing. You only showed the NV at like no distance at all.

I started with plastic 30cal & 50cal cans either Plano or later Harbor Freight. About a year ago I got a few metal 50cal cans and did my own leak test, putting a tissue in both plastic and metal ones with enough weight to keep them submerged in a 5 gal bucket of water overnight. The plastic cans leaked, the metal ones did not. I've since replaced all of my cans with 50cal and 30cal metal cans, both milsurp and HF new. HF has some decent ones, or shop the net for used ones in A or B grade. I bag all my ammo in heavy-duty zip lock bags (4 mil) I purchased in 2 sizes for either 100rds of pistol caliber ammo (most of mine is 9mm) or 145rds 223/5.56 (ie 5 mags @ 29/mag). A couple of drypack moisture absorbers go in each bag along with a small label that has all purchase info on it. 30cal cans will JUST fit 1000rds of 9mm, 50cal cans will JUST fit 1000rds 223 packed this way. I am currently shooting some 9mm that I bought in late 2001 that was stored for at least 15 yrs just in a drawer in the box it came it. Zero malfunctions. While I don't expect my house to get flooded I DO live in FL so it's always a possibility. A recent video I saw showed that ammo with sealed primers (ie better than the typical range grade I buy) withstand water far better than the cheapest ammo you can buy (which is what I normally buy, just not remans or steel). BTW I've shot several cases of reman both 9mm & 223 and had no issues, the main thing for me now (2023) is the price difference is negligible. When I bought it (early 2020), reman 223 was literally half the price of new 223 brass cased. Watch for sales, I bought 10 30cal metal cans from Sportsman's Guide for $7/ea,. HF puts their cans on sale about every 3 months. Being a member of either helps but not necessary (for SG it gets you free shipping which saves a lot, but their membership price has gone up since I had one). Hope this helps.

100% agree with the whats the point of having empty mags laying around. I have wall mount mag racks filled with loaded magazines. Just saw Harbor Freight has a sale this weekend on ammo cans. I load 200 rounds into ziploc bags and store them in ammo cans. I am going to look into vaccum sealing loose ammo.

As an electrician it is frustrating that safes with electronic locks don’t utilize both battery on commercial power at the same time. Battery lock on a gun safe is a good back up but if a safe has an outlet inside it , it seems a simple circuit could be created with commercial power to feed the lock as well . Two sources of power for the lock creates better reliability and a great marketing idea . I’m thinking of a retro fit kit to allow plug-in power in addition to battery backup like a smoke detector.

This was the same process my grandpa did with the SKS he traded me. Except after the trash bag step he decided to sand the top layer of the wood. So it has a sanded look revealing the natural color of the rifle and I think it looks better then the finish color your rifle is. My opinion of course

AS A MID-ROAD AMERICAN, I have to say, the world has not been scarier since Trump made a mockery of the U.S, Democracy, our military, the honored dead and our law enforcement, culminating in his likewise traitorous call to assault our Capitol. That stain on humanity and his cronies made me feel like clown-thugs had taken ownership of the American flag, and that if one flew it, they might be mistaken for one more sociopathic sheep. --- Think about it. It used to be, we had an election, and as decent Americans we accepted the results. Then, Trump gets trashed because 4 years of him was too much, and all of a sudden, as if by Magic, now we have "mass voter fraud". If only Trump could get a gift from Bobby Lee Swagger.

Hey did yours come with that rail thingie that looks as if you're supposed to somehow attach it to one of the the attachment points ie; one of the two round things you slide into the rail of the helmet to secure it? I figured out the solid rail piece that slides into one of the ARC rails so you can attach something like a flashlight, but I just don't get what I'm supposed to do with that other rail piece.

Why is everyone upset that a short barrel, running subs, with no can doesn't cycle fully with zero break in? Who is spending money to shoot subs unsuppressed? If you have that kind of cash to literally throw away, why are you looking at PSA?

I just put mine up yesterday. It’s the same as yours, Chinese junk. I’m certain it’s not going to last in this west Texas wind. The sleeve is securely mounted in concrete but the pole has so much flex to it in a twenty mph wind, I will have to take it down whenever I’m not home to keep an eye on it. Save your money and buy a one piece, built in America flagpole. I thought I was buying an American product but it’s printed on the box “made in PRC”. Extremely disappointed in this Chinese junk!

I wish anyone could help with this: Since the Garrand was introduced by the US army before the beginning of WW2, I’m surprised no other country adopted it since the Garrand was superior to all the other bolt rifles the other countries would be using during the war. Did it have anything to do with patents or the US army refusing the authorization to other countries of producing them? I don’t think it was a secret to other countries, right?

I feel compelled to question the wisdom of mounting a fire extinguisher immediately behind your plastic fuel can. While the likelihood the fuel can would rupture and spray flaming gasoline everywhere is low, it's not zero, and having an extinguisher opposite from the can as well as more immediately accessible on the drivers side seems more prudent.
