It's been years that i lost my sense of smell. I can't afford the treatment as I am asked by an EENT that i have to have MRI before I will be treated. Is there any other treatment that i can do without spending much.

RUBBISH!!.. . WFPB-Vegan diet is the way to go. So, Dr. Giles - show us the science and the facts, show us medical findings / autopsy, comparative reports and statistical data on cardio-vascular and cancer deaths. Without these, what you're saying is just an opinion. So deceitful, misleading and immoral.

I saw a 1.5 hour video on fifth sense about stem cell therapy and gene therapy. It hasn’t reached human clinical trials but has been tested on mice showing what seems to be pretty good results.

I lost my sense of smell/taste in 2015 after a virus and it took me 2 years to recover my tastebuds. Now, I lost it again from Covid. This is day 6 with no smell/taste. My coffee takes like bitter water and my toothpaste tastes like chalk! Well, I'll wait another 2 years again for it to come back. 🥴☹

I've had anosmia for over 10 years. No taste or smell 0%. I just discovered that 5mg of prednisone per day restores my taste and smell 100%. My Doctor says no because of side effects. It's my understanding 5mg is a very low dose and not that dangerous compared to not smelling smoke or a gas leak. I'd like to know how much research has been done using low dose prednisone as a treatment. It works perfect for me but my Primary care Dr says no way. What's the consensus?

Did you have nasal discharge before you took the steroids? Or have free air flow with extremely dry nasal passageway?

I have congenital anosmia and I am SO GRATEFUL for the Monell Center. They were one of the first organizations I came across online when I was learning about my condition. I have been donating to their cause and also advocating for the recognition of anosmia, because when I grew up...I had no one to turn to. I used to feel so alone...not many people could understand my experience. It affected me in many ways. I couldn't tell others because I learned that a barrage of questions such as "but can you taste?" or "Are you sure?" would ensue. My wish is that no one else with anosmia feels they are alone. Glad there are more videos and help. Thank you Monell!

I am nearly 70 and when I lost my sense of smell sometime in 2020 + I think my sense of taste but I am not too sure of that as it took a long time to realise it was gone and was not an overnight event -- I am 100% sure I haven’t had Covid-19 as my city of Newcastle Australia has had almost no Covid

The main problem of the Vagus Nerve is located in the middle of the outside of peoples neck. The nerve there is mostly blocked by trigger points. Unblocking these trigger points and the Vagus Nerve will become in a relaxed state. This is the most important thing to treat the Vagus Nerve. Once you have done that, than you are going to feel that both on a physically and mentally way. You will feel as if you are reborned. It will change your life forever.

I lost my sense of smell back in the middle of octuber, I don't know for sure if it was because of the corona (probably it was) because I didn't take the test, but anyway, I had the flu, but it was different, I felt less sick but strangely I lost my smell Í couldn't smell almost anything and I have never experienced such thing so I'm pretty sure it has to do with the coronavirus. Lately I barely smell few things only if I keep them super near to my nose but there are a lot of products that smell just the same way, it's an ordor kind of weird, unpleasant, for instance shampoo, creams, perfume, toothpaste, detergent, and even some fruits and food. I'm pretty sure this is not alright, I mean most of the people recover within a couple of weeks or maybe 1 month but in my case it has been almost 5 months and I don't feel as if I'm getting any better. is it recommend to take some medicine or try nasal spry or something like that, or should I wait until I recover it naturally? anyone who's experiencing the same?
