That dado you cut is the literal definition of a learning curve. My brain insists that one should actually do the opposite. Instead of actually undoing the plywood by cutting a dado on a sheet of ply that thick, I suppose one could stack and laminate two sheets of ply half the thickness and stagger them. Then rip the overhang and glue that over to the staggered side and leaving a gap that will have the excactly same function as this dado. The time spent for the labour will be only valuable if you have no access to ply half the thickness. Still this was a great show of determination by you! 💪 It is very important to experiment and feel the actual value of your time by using it ineffectively for a short period of time while infusing yourself with the knowledge to use time more wisely for the long term. Cool to see your experiment and I enjoyed your commentary and reflection 👌

Thanks for your video, first of all. I don’t think you actually had test result. Unfortunately, you had several marital issues with your test and didn’t use similar testing methods either First of all you need to use a drop of the Super Glue and should not have used the brush applicator to place the glue. The test was rendered immediately skewed and invalid when you did this. As the perimeters are apples and oranges. Also you should have need clean metal for the test. If metal is not cleaned then any surface contaminations. Case in point you look at your test samples. The glue on the board for both cans had the label material left on them. This means it was labeling on the case that failed and not the bond between the can the board. Good demonstration though.

Thanks for the feedback! These tests are an ongoing experiment so I’m hoping to continue to improve with time. As I have different projects I’ll continue to post different tests.

I tried to build my first one according to B&D's instructions. That got me nowhere. Then, I found you, and did it the way you showed, noticing that you said you were going in their order, for the sake of keeping it less confusing. It worked! W00t! Then, I started building the wnd one, and did it a little out of their order, attaching the first board, before worrying about the cranks. That held the auger(?) piece in place, instead of leaving it flopping all over, while I fought to get the pins in. Easiest way, yet! After finding your video, the first one went together in about 20 minutes (instead of throwing it out, after an hour of much cussing!). Modifying to my way, the second went together in less than 10 minutes. I'm noting you didn't say the way you showed us was your favorite way - just that you did it that way to help avoid confusion. Well done, sir! Thank you!

sadly, your camera zoom is too tight most of the time. Need more visual information. Your dialogue is great, wonderful talk through. I bought the exact parts you are talking about here from Lowe’s, so that helped me. Maybe the video rendered in a cut down frame. Not sure. Thx thx. Good over all.

If you use Timer mode, manual says that you have to reset this timer each time, meaning it only sets 1 future timer up to turn on, and for example if you select 8 hours , it will not continually turn it back on and off every 8 hours? Odd. And with the option to CHOOSE your humidity level, if you choose 50% say, it will turn itself on and off by itself throughout the day to maintain that 50%? Continuous mode does not let you set a desired level and runs 24/7?

The timer is basically a sleep function. It runs for 8 hrs and then turns off. It’s not a 24 hr timer like on a dehumidifier.

A company of crooks. We bought two devices, one from Amazon USA and the other from Amazon Germany. Both arrived not working. Dead. A lot of money. I contacted the company, provided the representative with all the documents and photographs she required and they refused to replace the broken devices. I will note that formally the devices have a warranty of 3 years. But in practice there is no guarantee of one day. Don't believe the ads!

Hi - I have a similar vac from Panasonic, but the grooves for fitting the bag are not deep enough and the bag slipped off on first use, tipped into the canister, and mucked up the filter. Could you please suggest a solution? many thx. Its one of those small reusable cloth bags open on one side and secured by a plastic slider

You are right the instructions were poor and labeled as though they had labeled parts, which they had not. Not an easy put together as the screw holes were next to other features that made it difficult to put them on and tighten them. Thanks for the video

I think the 30L ones are being phased out depending on your area. Here in the US the 60L is common but the 130-Liter Carbonator is gone. I've not used the 30L!
