One thing to remember about sport compact engines is that, contrary to popular belief, they tend to have much longer strokes and shorter rods than, say, an LS. This means that, compared to an LS, they actually have a GREATER need for a stronger rod bolt.

Ive done a k20 build but i think im gonna buy this engine from them and build it to the max. Looking for about 700-800whp on moderate boost but you know we can dial the boost up on raceday🤘

Just a story for entertainment made from the comfort if IT seat = { "At 4 Piston Racing we got it building for over a decade and we gonna show you a 1000hp Honda k24 engine". "At another geolocation there was a guy gaining knowledge and experience tuning EJ engines that many people hate. Later he called him self BBR tuning. He started showing to people that correctly tuned and properly maintained stock EJ can reliably be making 500 whp for long time and 600-700 whp less reliably but still for significant time and with torque figures up to 200 less than hp. In the end of 2023 he showcased on his DynoJet an unopened 100% stock from the factory Subaru EJ25 with stock STI drivetrain hitting 700 wheel torque and just over 1000 wheel horse power. Taking this engine off the car and showing us it is stock . No damages ! Engine intact, awaiting what is next. Immediately after he, BBR person, puts in his own built EJ 25 stage X and hits over 1000 wheel torques and 1400 wheel horsepurse while xeddy triple disc clutch is giving up. He, BBR person, can not wait for the track season to open and prove to himself and the others in car community what a stock and built EJ engines can do." } <<-EOF

I love cars, but I've never taken on a project car. I've got a tuned Audi S5, and I love it... But I'm thinking of getting a 4piston engine with a few drag cartel parts, mating it to a ZF 8HP, and swapping it into an MX-5 ND. There are a few other upgrades I want to add to the Miata as well; upgraded infotainment, custom carbon fiber interior parts, chassis stiffening components, wider track suspension parts and upgraded coilovers, pilot sport cup 2 tires on Rays TE27s, larger breaks, and OEM-look molded fender flares - all being the main components on my mind. Now, I know that the 8HP is an automatic, but I'm chasing a car that I can effortlessly throw around twisties and tracks, but which will also be efficiently comfortable on the highway. While you may have your opinions on styling and particular parts with similar capabilities, what do you think of my potential build list? Do you think it could be a recipe for success?

Interesting... 3/8 bolts are pretty standard in Sport Compact applications, and 7/16 bolts are a common option among higher hp builds.

maybe if I leave this country. and come back as an illegal immigrant. I can afford to buy this set up. I mean. they get free phones, free housing, no taxes for 7 years, fuck uncle Sam. if everybody else does it. why can't a 33 year American citizen? with the taxes I've paid over the years, ive basically paid for a few illegal immigrants to live here for 20 years. fuck me for being a blue collar worker right

never understood 4340 for an expensive niche part that operated in an nearly anaerobic environment with oil gushing all around it. you could make them out of aermet, machine them popcan thin, have a rod 30-40% lighter for the same strength. literally one of the only parts on an engine you could get away with using aermet and no one seems to be willing.
