Great show! How do you secure the projector? I'm considering this method too, but scared it will "walk away".

The Optoma projector is in a locked weatherproof deck box on the side of the driveway. I use the corner pinning effect, used in most projection mapping, that reshapes the video to fit the size of the garage. I run my show with a pi player and the projector is connected to a pi in remote mode. They're always in sync as long as the name of the sequence, song and MP4 video are exactly the same. Where is the projector and what kind are you using? Looks sweet and way better than using a matrix mesh over the door.

The Optoma 1090 is in a weatherproof deck box on the side of the driveway. I use corner pinning in After Effects to map it to the garage. IMO, its definitely much less hassle than a garage pixel matrix.

Not sure of your knowledge level. I use xLights to create the sequence. The plane effect is a black/transparent gif of a plane moving across the all house layer.

@@TimCaravia Thank you! Major compliments to your work on this song, that's a ton of detailed programming you did. I would consider myself moderate proficiency at xlights but always could use extra help. Did you use a virtual matrix for the projector or separate video editing and uploaded the video file to the remote pi in fpp? I'm wondering since my Pi can't seem to handle anything beyond a low resolution and looks poor image quality compared to yours. What numbers did you use for nodes and strings on the matrix? Thanks

yes! btw i have a light show as well for HALLOWEEN ONLY but it's on turn place in sycamore il - 88.5 fm starting in october!
