I love my 2003 short cab, short, step-side bed Silverado with the 4.8L V8. The step side bed is made of plastic rendering it impervious to rust and much lighter. The small V8 gets great gas mileage. Why did Chevrolet stop making this configuration? My Silverado is pushing 200,000 miles and still runs great! I just would like to have some nice, modern options like adaptive cruise control and heated seats and steering wheel. I just wish Chevy would make a new version of my Silverado, maybe even make it a mild hybrid with a solar bed cover to skirt around G.W.'s 2007 bill forcing most truck buyers to suffer 4 doors.

I for one am tired of SUV's dominating the market. I have always been a GM guy . A '71 Malibu (which I still have) , Two Buick Skylarks '81 and '93 and my last car was an '08 Pontiac G5 GT which sadly got t-boned and totaled . I would still be driving it to this day if that had not happened. Now I'm driving a 2022 Buick Encore which is nice enough. It's just not a car.

I'm waiting for this and will only consider a Tahoe if the Yukon redesign is uglier than the Tahoe because right now I don't know why anyone would buy the Chevy version as those things look horrid!

I honestly think Pontiac should bring back 4 models! the Grand Am with the 2.7 turbo, the Grand prix with the v6 or optional 6.2, and the Firebird !!! I think the Grand am and Grand Prix should be priced relatively affordable for people to purchase without breaking the bank! The Firebird should be priced competitive with what the Camaro is at!

There is a company in Florida that already makes a Firebird/TransAm and they bought the rights to the Pontiac Firebird/TranAM name from General Motors. The company is Trans Am Worldwide and made a few different versions based off the popular ones from back in the day. They have a Bandit limited edition signed my Burt Reynolds and a supper duty one. They are build from the Camaro and have new drive trains, molded body panels and interiors. They are now coming out with a 70/SS based off the 1970 Chevelle Supper Sport. I don’t think they have the rights to the Pontiac Firebird or TransAm name anymore, but who’s to say they didn’t team up with them or even buy the branding back. I would love to see the TransAm come back, I have one of each. A red ‘86 TransAm and a blue ‘87 Iroc-Z.

Any word on Adaptive High beam system availability? The system is NOT the one that just switches from high beam to low beam. AHS modifies the beam shape to create a notch in the direction of the oncoming car only. It’s been available for a few years in the Euro and Asia market, but not the USA due to regulations. The regs have changed recently, and that’s why I’m looking to see if it’s available yet. Lexus calls it Bladescan technology.
