Last week, when I had my 2020 Lincoln Continental at my Lincoln dealership for an oil change and tire rotation, one of the guys who works in the new car sales department told me that the Lincoln Town Car and the Lincoln Continental were coming back in late 2025-early 2026....I. AM. ECSTATIC!😂🎉

The legendary Town Car will never be brought back. It will never ride as smoothly as the last Town Car. Everything that made a previous Town Car the ultimate luxury machine just can't be redone. Those last gen Town Cars will run for 300k to500k without major issues. Show me a car that can do that today.

There have been no American full-size luxury sedans since the discontinuation of the Chrysler 300 and it wasn’t even that luxurious compared to most foreign luxury cars, so this would be a great idea. In fact, Ford is officially considering a 4-door sedan variant of the Mustang. If they make it, they should also make a Lincoln counterpart. These would be worthy successors to the Crown Vic and Town Car, respectively, in terms of usage as police cars/taxis and limos/VIP cars, respectively. Full-size, V8 and RWD are what we want, since American cars were historically like this, and the Ford Interceptor concept from 2007 used a lengthened version of the current Mustang’s platform which means Ford already has what they need to offer sedans like the ones above with said specs today. Furthermore, no other American manufacturer offers anything like these today, so Ford could become a very lucrative business. Just because most Americans prefer SUVs over sedans doesn’t mean no Americans want sedans.

OMG, I don't want any turbo. All I want is that old V8 and we all love and 300hp is fine. And it has to be a super large yacht like the 1960s-70ish no Toyota Camry size car here needed not in America.

Thankfully they aren't going with the huge tesla / mecedes style big screen tv's in the front. I refuse to buy mercedes because of it and wound up very happy with my Flying Spur.

"Although sedans are not as practical as crossovers and SUVs, Lincoln is willing to give it a try. The company hasn't abandon the car class entirely and the L100 concept proves that." What a confused and idiotic statement! With the price of affordable fuel an SUV craze always starts, bumpers always go up! That does NOT make SUVs / crossovers "practical" or safe as sedans. Ask any seasoned COP working the road wreck detail about the stability of a sedan compared to an SUV. Then compare ride quality, handling and aerodynamic efficiency before you speak. "Lincoln is willing to give it a try" What is that supposed to mean? Are you claiming that's Ford's confidence level going in? Understand, Ford Motor Co. no longer has the dedicated Wixom Michigan Lincoln Plant. A fact to consider before taking on this serious endeavor worthy of the Lincoln name. Ford can do this but must understand the mission as they did in 1961, build a truly great vehicle and people will buy it.

Do not bring it back. Town Car died with dignity. It was known for its reliability and size. A new one will be unaffordable, unreliable and too small. It'll be a joke!
@LetsDriveYT2 ай бұрын
Or 2/3 things at least. To make it affordable, they must downsize it, and if it's big it will cost too much ☹️
@user-sk1eh3pg6j2 ай бұрын
@@LetsDriveYT Wrong. When the Town Car & Continental were simultaneously produced, the Continental was smaller and more expensive. Just like the Fleetwood & DeVille. Why? One was old school luxury with an emphasis on size & reliability while the smaller ones were made with an emphasis on being modern & technologically advanced. Keep the tech, it's trash. We want size & reliability. Bigger doesn't always mean more expensive. Solid axle with air springs and plain torquey big V8. But no everybody wants all independent fancy schmancy suspensions and overengineered engines that are not reliable and cost too much. See that with the latest Continental? It was junk.
