I actually never completed the main storyline of New Vegas? Why? Because my choice would have been any of those alternatives that would have left me in bad relations with Legion. However, deep inside, even ten years ago, I had this lingering feeling that would be short sighted given the time. And oh boy was my feeling correct! I did not want to drift into hostilities with NCR either. I thought mods etc could possibly offer me similar quests and new lands mods about New California too.

Honestly, I'm perfectly fine if there's never another Fallout game. For me, the TV show killed any hope of another good Fallout game by breaking the unwritten rule of keeping Bethesda Fallout separated from Classical Fallout, and just completely ignoring the old games entirely. If there was ever a "New Vegas 2" it would be a shitty 50s theme FPS with a story about having to find your dad or something.

Some locations in Baja California is good for ranching Brahmins and Bighorners. I figured Kimball simply wanted Rangers to plant NCR flags in Baja to claim grazing lands for the Brahmin Barons. But Hanlon’s experience in Baja says the opposite. He didn’t find land suitable for pasturing, let alone surviving. Just brutal arid hell. I think Hanlon’s “Ghosts” personifies supposed grazing land for Brahmin Barons rather than a presence of NCR’s adversaries.

This review and point of thinness is actually an attack on my favourite game genre. The 100 star system space era rpg. The kind we got with the Starfield type games in the 1980s and 1990s. Bethesda did an amazing job with Starfield for giving us a game for a GENRE that had totally been abandoned. Star Citizen made its promise to make such a game, it hasn't even begun to deliver it with barely 3 systems, and no quests whatsoever nor building mechanics. To say that such a game should not be made because of content thinness is absolutely bunkum pony review bombing propaganda for a stockholm syndrom victim Bethesda did it in an amazing way with the procedurally placed hand crafted pois with their own quests. In the 90s such locations would have been just a basic hand drawn pixels of a structure. To go from that to full blown structures with so many high quality physics based assets. With quests in between. And the ability to build your ship. To first person crysis level quality. And no stupid cutscenes (Mass Effect). You just cannot imagine the leap. And all in one go in one package. Thinness??? You have lost it! And not only just one package, but easily moddable!!!? Starfield is a revolution in the space game industry.

@richardavelino73835 күн бұрын
@nvRanger a standard for meeting investor's expectations. 76 being live-service with a focus on player retention rather than being fun to play is the prime example, but for starfield, I'd say the whole aspect of making exploration, combat, and leveling to be as grindy as possible is probably the best example of what Bethesda is focusing on for their games. If I'm a betting man, I'd say these past two games were financial compromises to have something out that was capable of accruing revenue and satisfying interest parties whilst their main team focuses on engine development, or something that would make ES6 and Fallout 5 feel brand new. Let's face it, Fallout 3, Skyrim, New Vegas, and even Fallout 4 minus its graphics all feel like the same game due to its outdated engine.

I love Fallout 76. I love Starfield. Just because you don't like them doesn't mean they don't have an audience. Nobody has a gun pointed at my head to purchase any microtransactions. Anyone can play these games for nothing more than the cost of Game Pass. Should I choose to support the game(s) by purchasing microtransactions, that's my business. How dare you tell people how to spend their own money. NOBODY owes you the Fallout game you want. I could continue to complain that everything since Fallout 2 has been a disappointment in comparison. Unfortunately, I couldn't afford to buy the rights from Interplay. Bethesda did, and we got Fallout 3 & 4 & New Vegas. Now Microsoft can do what they want with the rights. We can either buy what they release and enjoy it, or don't buy it. I do expect that Microsoft has already set Obsidian to working on New Vegas 2. In conjunction with Season 2 of the series. Expect to hear more at the next big Xbox showcase. Had they known how big a hit the Fallout TV series was going to be, I'm sure they would have been better prepared to support it with newer game content.
@nvRanger5 күн бұрын
I literally showed you the smaller player counts of the games. If you spend money on microtransactions you’re being played. “How dare you…” Karen ass statement. 😅 Never said anyone owed me anything. Fallout 76 only makes sense when you look at the revenue accrued by Fallout: Shelter between its release and Fallout 4. They saw that monetization in the Fallout IP worked, and decided to step it up with Fallout: 76, not realising the consumers for a mainline Fallout game is different enough from a Fallout mobile game to result in backlash.

FOR FALLOUT 76 PLAYERS! I understand if you enjoy the game in its current state, and I am happy you have found enjoyment in the Fallout series. However, keep these things in mind: Players were refused refunds at launch despite its terrible state. The canvas duffel bag in the $200 USD Power Armor Edition of Fallout 76 was replaced with a cheap nylon bag. This is fraudulent, period. Nonetheless, influencers pushing the product received free Fallout canvas bags from Bethesda. Bethesda accidentally leaked the private information of those who contacted Bethesda Support to have their bags replaced. Patches were released to make the game "grindier," reinforcing further playtime and in-game purchases. This was not disclosed in the patch notes. Nuka Dark Rum used deceiving marketing. The rum was in a regular bottle within a plastic casing. The plastic casing was advertised as if it were the actual bottle. They have used fake discount listings in the Atom Shop, where items were listed as if they were discounted. However, they were never sold at a higher price. This is illegal in some countries. Bethesda banned players and required 500-word essays to be unbanned. I want a 5,000-word essay from them to the community explaining all their wrongdoings. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oZvclnaamZKXopo bethaniaarts.com/2019/09/the-fallout-76-controversy-timeline-fall-2019-edition/ Please stop lecturing people that they need to give the game a second chance. They do not. I don't care how much you think they have turned things around. This is just a small list of the larger ethical issues involving this massive corporation that neither needs nor deserves your defense. You can like the game and still understand why people do not trust or want to support them in any way.
@martyk6565 күн бұрын
Fallout 76 was not broken on release. It was playable even if buggy. Were you on PlayStation? Because Sony has always been unwilling to give refunds - with No Man's Sky & CP2077 being the rare exceptions. My nephew bought the nylon bag off E-Bay as a joke gift for me. I understand why people expected the canvas bag, but the nylon bag has held up very well. I keep my extra cables in it. I hate most KZbin "influencers" but aren't you one those? Patches to make the game grindier - I never noticed. Ever played Destiny? Bungie are the God King Scumbags for this kind of stuff. I've never not gotten what I wanted from the Atomic Shop. I have made accidental purchases and always have been refunded after submitting a request. Good luck getting a refund from Bungie. You are complaining about someone "lecturing" you about a second chance for F76 - that is pretty rich. You lectured F76 players in your video. I do understand why you might not want to support Bethesda. That's your right. You seem to really hate microtransaction. Hello... Horse Armor. BGS practically invented them. Anyway, given your stance, it does make me wonder why you'd want another Fallout game from MS/BGS.
