I’m actually a developer on Nova Arizona, I can tell you first hand that it’s one of if not the best development team in the New Vegas modding community. if you are serious then please know that new vegas does not use alot of cores , only two, so make sure your processor has high speeds like 4ghz plus, getting a 16 core 3ghz cpu for example wont benefit you match, unlike most games that are made with graphics cards in mind because the consoles have weak processors, new vegas and most of bethesda games use processors alot and mainly the single core speed not multi cores. Also if you want hd textures and shadows like this video, you gonna need a videocard with 8gb of more ram. Id wait for the new cards that will come out next year which will do wonders with ray tracing in old games.

The only other mod other than Nova Arizona that I know of that expands the playable area is tamriel rebuilt for Morrowind which adds the rest of Morrowind that Bethesda had planned.

These videos are awesome and really helpful to me(someone who is interested in starting to mod) but I’m going to say this while you’re still small. your Lore videos are Top Tier currently you are my favorite fallout lore KZbinr and I watch hours of lore everyday, I really hope your not completely transitioning into modding content when you have such a talent for discussing lore. "Ba-Dum-Tish!" lol also, if you do a vid on Weapon Mods, my favorite has to be TammerMC's Weapons Pack, he adds a ton of Weapons to NV, but they dont stray too far from the feel of NV itself and new Weapons are being added to this day. there are even Perks that give Unique Weapons that are more Utility than something to dominate the game with. finally Tammer even added Vendors to the game for these Weapons as well as Armors he has done. hope you check them out as he gives links to his own website, where he hosts the mods since he left The Nexus.

These all look so incredible! Also, those weapons don't feel that out of place, after all, I like the All-American, there's a flavor for everyone, modern guns, cowboys, future soldiers, tribals, New Vegas may tip you a bit to the cowboy, but it lets you be whatever you want.

I would love to see the lore and appearance in a place like Phoenix, Az and the sonoran wasteland. Either made by bethesda or I would love obsidian to make it. unsure if it's still around, but I remember playing a mod called New Vegas: Beyond The Borders, and it was a mod that made the gate at the NCR Camp into the Long 15 something you could open. It added a bunch of places, and a few new critters like tarantulas and spiders. So kinda like what you reviewed but for the NCR. It's a bit old, came out in 2011.

4:17 Properly sourcing audio for mods is incredibly time-consuming and is also quite tricky to implement well. While I do want to see this mod completed I also understand and appreciate the decision to release the otherwise mostly-completed mod. I've always used the Ultimate Invisible Wall Remover because I love sequence breaking games to see their breaking point. ..so while I'm all for the Legion Expansion mod - I worry that it'd have the same invisible wall problems I experienced with Zion Trail (another fun mod but too buggy for me to recommend if you value stability in your load order).

I do like the idea, I always found that area mysterious. Maybe that's where dead money or old world blues could have taken place in had obsidian gotten a longer dev time. (From what I heard the DLCs are basically cut content) The issue is that you need to give an area purpose, not just markers to find.

You could argue that the ncr and legion are both brutal in there own ways. For example if your a soilder of the ncr and you get captured by the legion the ncr will just send a team of snipers to put you out of your misery not attempt a rescue. Boone talks about his time as a singer and how the legion would torture ncr soilders in front of a ncr outpost or base and the leaders of the ncr would just send snipers like boone to put the soilder out of his misery. Boone wishes he could of done more and question's his orders.

"Lacking" is putting it lightly, the Legion were ultimately gutted with how much of a "Campaign" they give. now with all the good Legion mods, includong Nova Arizona, my Evil runs will be far more girthy. i'd say now the Brotherhood of Steel could use more content, their involvement in NV is so small, it's practically criminal. granted i know they arent a major faction in the game at all, but perhaps they should be.

I honestly like the BoS in New Vegas, especially with the context of the first two games. It's bitter sweet to see them so weak, but the story told through them in New Vegas with Veronica and more is great. Hanging on to old ways, not being able to let go of the past. Then that's furthered with Father Elijah/Christine in Dead Money. But mods that add to their presence, all for that.

@@nvRanger Turns out my dumbass forgot the 300+mb assets :sob: , however im getting weird distant terrain lod (ground that I apparently can walk through/far away lands that have no collission and its over the actual map)

@@boosteraxledoesstuff2769 yes you need to generate LOD for this mod. Look up VIVA New Vegas’s LOD guide. It’s a bit more involved than normal modding but your game will look much better, and those issues w Nova should be fixed

Modern weapons certainly are not "out of place" (note their clean textues might be, but then again I imagine my characters to take the best of care of their armor, weapons and other gear! That's also why I REMOVE/MOD OUT the degredation mechanic!)! It's just BADthesda who thinks that way (hell: Modern arms fit New Vegas even more, because we learn that people - mainly the Gun Runners and the Van Graffs - are still making new weapons from Pre-Great-War Plans!) and makes abominations like the Fallout 4 "assault rifle" or the pipe-guns (I HATE PIPE-GUNS!)

I largely agree which is why I have little issue using these mods, but I think these guys stick out a bit as recreations of modern weapons rather than alt universe spin on fire arms New Vegas often adopts like the 12.7mm smg and Bozar type stuff. Idk anything about guns tbh, just thinking of the design in game.

yea that sounds like a process. Not sure why it would work with one and not the other, but I would recommend switching to MO2 for New Vegas, but that's obviously up to you

@@random-guy579 i feel ya, but MO2 is easily the better interface, it's noob friendly and you have all the control in the world as to how your list boots up in-game. downright crucial with a lot of Mods.

I don't like going off world. Fnv is such a fine tightly woven linear set of quests made on a very concise path. You go off that and it really feels sluggish and pointless. There's just not enough to do in new locations. This was even true for some dLCs. Also every aspect of fnv is deeply related to everything within its own world. Every quest and lore will be connected to ncr, brotherhood of steel, and legion no matter what and where you are, keeping the game engaging the whole time with a sense of purpose. When you add something external it really doesn't belong because nobody else in the base game will have mentioned it or referenced it or anything like that making it feel completely detached and foreign and out of place. I played one mod called dome something and the entire time I just kept wanting to go back to New Vegas and hated how slow and uninteresting everything was.
