I’m about to buy a new Volvo 2024 860. My plan is to just get the manufacturers standard warranty and as soon as I get to 500k, I want to get a in frame/complete overhaul and then yank that def out. Then take that baby as far as I can.

If you’re a single owner operator you need to buy new trucks and trade them when warranty runs out. Need to save up 50 to 75k fir a Down payment. Stop buying these 40k trucks

The injector cups was the reason why the engine took a crap. Injector cups are a Preventative maintenance item. I think at 500k one or less. If this was not address it would be user error weatherits your fault or the previous owner

Sorry to hear that bro but I brought a rebuild and replaced the engine It would have cost me more to do a inframe and would have been down longer it was half the price and only was down for one week!!! What a warranty on the engine the old engine went bad at 1,000,000 miles since the replacement I have put 200,000 on it and it still runs perfect

Mine got up to 1.07 million before cylinder 6 lost compression. Actually, it still runs, just can't pull heavy. No smoke, no leaks, but we're getting her rebuilt. The D13 is a great engine when properly maintained.
