I cannot see Canals and river trust paying for this, this isn't your average maintenance job, this looks like a massive headache. Having worked on the canals doing tree's, I understand as a nation, we couldn't undertake this level of engineering across this country like it was done, it needs to be maintained and enjoyed, and put to work. We're too busy arguing these day's to be able to undertake such an engineering marvel like our ancestors did. Too many finger wagers today, that love to say cant. Get it fixed, in the future the canals will be a valuable asset once again.
