Hello, great work! But with compare to your previous tablet that you review Gaomon, this Huion have more expensive price, Is there a big difference in usage between these two tablets?

@@sirguard3829 hey thank you. Basically the size and handling are the same. The huion has a 2,5k resolution. The gaomon a Full HD resolution. I personally found both tablets very good but the Huion a bit better. However the gaomon has a better stand.

@@viktor-moor you're welcome. I'm a fellow artist. Most people don't know the sacrifices made. They just say I wish I could draw. I lived in my car for a year as a struggling artist before my sacrifices paid off

I hope it worked out for you. but I truly understand your passion. many artists live in a situation like that. wich I feel sometimes unworthy. many studios make this big mistake and underastimate the passion of artists like you and me. I am still not in the situation where I can say I can live a relaxed live, doing freelancing. buisiness is still a hard pavement.

Hi I had a quick question I've just that they don't usually give any thickness to clothes for animating since it might make it hard, is that true? Cuz I'd like to create a fine detailed cloth and I might be unable to do that without a small thinkess

it's true. Knowledge on the internet is just the top of iceberg. It's not comprehensive. We have to seek a tutor and pay for their experience and we will get the massive things back. Self-learning is good but you will lost a lot of time and maybe lost the direction. So find a tutor and learn from them is the best way to learn something new.

haha, yeah I hope I'm not exaggerating. but I think this is very important for young artists who want to enter this business that you cannot compete with pros when you just spend some time with tutorials. young artists frustrate then and think this business is unfair etc. I hope this insprires young artists to learn more meticulous.

I have an LCD tablet and a desk at a height of 73cm and a low seat, nothing has ever hurt me... When I look at the tablet, I feel that my neck and eyes are in a neutral position... Maybe it's not fashionable, but I still have a keyboard and mouse on a pull-out shelf below the tabletop and also at a comfortable height (if I had them on the desk, my arms would probably fall off).

How responsive is the tablet and whats the screen like ? Is the pen to screen gap small ??

@@1989johno hey the tablet is very responsive. there was no lagging and I was testing on my older gaming pc. There is no gap between pen and screen.

Lovely work! I'm still learning Zbrush but I've decided that the style I want to follow is this more stylized one, even more so when I think about several characters that I love from other games coming to life in this style. Why not render in Blender or other programs? They give a more professional result. It's okay to try it once.

I render my thumbnails in ZBrush because it is quicker, I can render directly and don't have decimate the model and import it to Blender. Because I am working more sketchy here I think it work very good for me. Like you see the thumbnail is not the same as the render in the video, because I rerendered it quickly and did my compositing workflow again. Mostly it's not the renderer you use. It's more like, what kind of artistic choices you do. :)

thanks for existing bro, you inspire me to keep going to one day put my ideas to life, but I'm a total beguinner in 3d, but one day when the rendering evolution come out I want to be able to level up with 3d artists, cos then you make an animation and you render a whole scene in 3 mins, the day will come hopefully, no more bilionare companies with 1000 people just to make and render a 3 mins complex scene, I want to do it just by myself cos I'm poor, lol.

@@wilhelm992 thank you for watching. you are welcome. I recommend to start learning anatomy in your free time. Learn drawing first. It’s easier and faster to learn and to do. Later you can learn more digital drawing before getting into sculpting. This is the way I learned it.

How would a character artist for games make the transition to get into cinematics be represented in the portfolio? What skill sets and pipeline work flows are different to learn coming from games?

@@ZephrusPrime hey, first of all a cinematic artist should be able to create super realistic models, textures, hair, renders etc. The skill set is a bit different. Most cinematic characters are made in highpoly. But they are still backed like displacement maps. I hope this answer helps you.
