Looks amazing! A couple of questions: -What's your workflow like between Dynamesh/Subdivisions? It looks like around 9:56 your poly count quadruples for that subtool, so it appears you subdivide straight from the dynamesh model without any zremeshing? Is that correct? -When you bring the model into Blender, did you decimate it first, or just through it in at 100% of the resolution? What was your final poly count for the entire model? Thanks!
@viktor-moor Жыл бұрын
Hi, thank you and thank you for your question. Yes you can subdivide dynamesh meshes. I do it a lot to. I dynamesh the geometry low and subdivide it a couple times. ZRemesh would work too. Yes I decimate the mesh before bringing it to Blender. This speeds up the render time. I try to be at about 1million polygons, is still high enough. I hope this helps you with your project :)

What an incredible workflow, learned so much from just seeing your process. I can't believe this was made potentially riggable in symmetricity before posing. As a baby Zbrush user : How did you quickly combine the two tube mesh for the beard? How did you extrude the scalp to be a seperate mesh? Is the hair mesh thickened for sculpting? Or did you just decide to disregard whatever's hidden by the head mesh? I intend to create braids meant for a riggable character (to be Z-remeshed for neater/lesser polycount), will it be good strategy to adopt your workflow? Thank you so much for this inspiring video.
@viktor-moor24 күн бұрын
Hey thank you very much. Sorry for the late reply. Well you have a lot of questions I cannot answer all of them in this comment section. For combining meshes I usually use dynamesh. For creating new topology I use extract a lot. I hope this helps you for now and watch my other videos too. Maybe the other questions will be more clear then.

That's a great question! Using a base mesh for sculpting can definitely save time, especially on a professional level. However, when learning how to sculpt anatomy and exploring creativity, it's important to develop a solid understanding of the fundamentals of anatomy and not rely solely on a pre-made base mesh. I'd recommend practicing with and without a base mesh to develop a well-rounded skillset and approach to sculpting.
