I'm currently waiting on mine to be delivered, i got one of the ones with the poplar tops, have some D'Addario locking tuners and Jim Root signature EMGs for it as well. I specifically bought it as a modding platform since I've always wanted a tele style guitar. Should be a nice addition to my PRS SE CE Sandblasted.

You still need to stretch the strings before tightening them down or you will have a hard time maintaining turning when you dump.
@MadManMusic10 сағат бұрын
Well you stretch them after you’ve locked them down and brought them up to pitch initially. As mentioned in the videos description. 🤘🏼😜

Does it really matter? At that point why not just lay it flat
@MadManMusic16 сағат бұрын
Yes it really matters. First off, if you laid it flat the guitar would be resting on its headstock.. which you definitely dont want to do and is the entire point of using a neck rest. Secondly, placing the neck rest closer to the body will actually pitch the angle of the guitar higher in relation to the table. Even if only a little bit. You dont want to lay your guitar flat unless the headstock can hang past whatever table you’re working on. 🤘🏼😜

Toothbrushes work great for working off grime. However, if you have a Rosewood or Ebony Fretboard you definitely want to treat it with Lemon Oil otherwise it will eventually dry out and crack. Just like any other type of fine wood products. Furnishings etc. 🤘🏼😜

Nope but water does it best👍🏻
@MadManMusic2 күн бұрын
...nope what? Definitely use lemon oil to clean and moisturize your fretboard once every few months... not just water because that will lead to the wood drying out and causing damage. The oil locks the woods natural moisture in, just like we've been doing with high end wood furniture for centuries. 🤘🏼😜

Honestly... ltd locking tuners that come on 1000 series are imho totally fine usable tuners
@MadManMusic3 күн бұрын
I’m had some of the older model 1000 series guitars come with decent locking tuners… but for years now ESP’s LTD tuners have been terrible.. Especially the ones that came on this TE-200. 🤘🏼😜
@shardcards64743 күн бұрын
@@MadManMusic well the nonlocking ones are terrible but these are on anything from 10 to 200 series, 401 series usually have nonlocking grovers which are very good only locks are missing and 1000 series have LTD locking which are imho as good as the grovers. I have various 1000s from 2008 - 2020 and all have these and all hold tuning very well and were never needed to be swapped due to instability.
@shardcards64742 күн бұрын

@Shadow0fd3ath243 күн бұрын
all about getting in the right zone...you can drop tune and bend easily in the right zones
@MadManMusic3 күн бұрын
Unfortunately drop tuning and having the system actually work while set to a Standard Tuning doesn’t work. You can set it to a Drop Tuning and then tune that String Up, not the other way around because the saddle will be way out of place making your intonation incorrect, and also when you tune up you’re susceptible to tuning slippage until the tension drops back below the bend stop. Just be aware of that. 🤘🏼😜
@Shadow0fd3ath243 күн бұрын
too much is worse than none 1 VERY light coat per month is all you need
@MadManMusic3 күн бұрын
True enough. However most people playing at home probably dont change their strings each month. When Im not on tour I dont need to change mind for 2-3 months. I’m not playing every single day but thats when they really start to sound dull for me and thats a great time frame for cleaning and moisturizing the fret board. 🤘🏼😜

So from E standard when you do the half step, it goes to Eb Standard right? Then you do the whole step down so its now in D standard tuning? Do I got that right? If you would tune your guitar from E standard to Drop D on the guitar and you did the whole half step down on the pedal you would be in Drop C? Still learning tunings and how this all works
@MadManMusic3 күн бұрын
Yup! So whatever you have the guitar tuned to originally, this pedal will pitch it down in half-step increments. Just be aware that the pedal affects the signal it receives as a whole. So it will not just drop one string or certain notes. It will drop the entire tuning. 🤘🏼😜
