@@MadManMusic it is.. I quite like some of the built in mastering presets. I'l generally drop one of those on first and then have a tweak. You obviously know your stuff and that track you were demoing sounds fat AF! I'll have a go at using a similar method to yours next time I record something. Well done bro!

Thanks dude I appreciate that! Stock plug-ins can work just as well. A Plugin is a Plugin is a Plugin really… As long as you understand how it works. In this particular example, yes, the song that I demoed was already pretty full sounding, which takes a lot of work on its own, but the reason I used that track is because that’s really how people songs should be when they’re preparing to master the track. The song should have all the proper gain staging in place. It should sound balanced… all this before you even think about dropping that limiter on the track. But yeah, give it a try next time and see how it goes! 🤘🏼😜
