Mind-blowing that he flew it in the bed of a truck like that, just seemed so incredibly dangerous and not even slightly legal. Keep up the good work
@jhadzicki29 күн бұрын
Correct @TestSubject14, I'm glad you feel that way! My biggest concern for most Rev pilots, is flying around people. Crashing your Rev into a tree due to lack of experience and caution, is one thing, but endangering others is a very real concern. A healthy sense of caution leads to a safe and enjoyable day of flying. Although the Revolution design allows for incredibly precise control, your own experience is definitely the limiting factor.

@@jhadzickiwhat counts as short?
@jhadzicki26 күн бұрын
@@neilhollow1732 Indoor flying lines usually measure 12-15 feet. Outdoors, I like 30 feet (as seen in this video). The 30 foot lines are excellent for videos, thus keeping the pilot and Rev in the shot at the same time. Here is a video on line lengths: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e4bcc35-pdWlfJI

My XX Tarantula doesn't want to stay aloft in winds <5mph. Upright, side hover, it doesn't matter. It just gently floats down, no matter how much I angle the top towards me. Joe Hadzicki, do you have any suggestions?

What I've noticed over the years @Ohios1Cheesehead, is that the Revolution is so efficient and controllable that you can virtually fly anywhere with some basic skills, as in this video. Here is another video showing places I was sure were 'un-flyable': kzbin.info/www/bejne/fmWam5SMd5eilZo

Thanks for the great videos! I notice you're consistently walking backwards in this video. Is that typical, or is it due to low winds that particular day?
@jhadzicki2 ай бұрын
Yes @jmichaelstone! The conditions are near zero-wind. These are difficult conditions to 'hover' in. This video would have been better in higher winds, but the shot had already been planned. This 'light-wind' video would have been a much better shoot for these conditions! kzbin.info/www/bejne/pWTWln6GqJuKr8U
