Well the Dodgers have a whole season to test Betts out. He's very athletic so it's a good possibility that he will work out. However if he falls short then the Dodgers have multiple ways to cover for it.

It'll be viewed as not a mistake if Betts plays well defensively, still hits well from there, and doesn't get injured. If any one of those three goes bad, and especially if he gets injured this move will be considered a catastrophe. So, all in all, I think it's a bad idea.

Please, for the love of God, move from Grove, CT3 (even if they need to pay 3/4 of his salary) and Gonsolin, I'm almost sure they can be packaged in a trade. Also, it's time to free Frasso, Knack and Wrobleski at least, they need serious play time and are blocked with this roster.
